Indeed! I'll remember this thread fondly. I jumped in at page 3 and passed out somewhere around 129 lol. Missed some action but needed sleep!

It's too bad that everyone doesn't take the time to access this information to see it for what it is!

We who were able to listen and follow along that night were VERY lucky!!!!

To see the event for what it was you really did have to listen to the full police scanner from that night. I somehow stayed up through the entire event except for a few minutes here and there where I would have to change feed sources, and of course the ~10 mins the feed (and GLP) were cut after they announced via scanner that the feed was on the net and whether or not they should cut it. The order was given to cut it, 3 seconds later all scanner feeds stopped working, and GLP went down. 10 minutes later both came back up at the same time. What I find interesting about that 10 min scanner/GLP blackout is the fact that it occurred during a crucial part of the night (the boat event). IMO this is where the event echo (overlap) switch occurred (Sunil to Dzhokhar).

The event as a whole is such a joke...

And in case anyone was wondering the Boston event was a drill hijacking of Urban Shield Boston 2013 (officially scheduled for June 15... they simply ran an unofficial version (echo) 2 months early).

[Urban Shield Boston 2013] The scenario had been carefully planned: A terrorist group prepared to hurt vast numbers of people around Boston would leave backpacks filled with explosives at Faneuil Hall, the Seaport District, and in other towns, spreading waves of panic and fear. Detectives would have to catch the culprits.
Months of painstaking planning had gone into the exercise, dubbed “Operation Urban Shield,” meant to train dozens of detectives in the Greater Boston area to work together to thwart a terrorist threat. The hypothetical terrorist group was even given a name: Free America Citizens, a home-grown cadre of militiamen whose logo would be a metal skull wearing an Uncle Sam hat and a furious expression, according to a copy of the plans obtained by the Boston Globe.
But two months before the training exercise was to take place, the city was hit with a real terrorist attack executed in a frighteningly similar fashion. The chaos of the Boston Marathon bombings disrupted plans for the exercise, initially scheduled for this weekend, forcing police to postpone. Now officials must retool aspects of the training.
“The real thing happened before we were able to execute,” said a law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the planned exercise.

Side Note: The official Urban Shield Boston 2013 script/MSEL was so close to the events that occurred on April 15 & April 19 that the official date (June 15) was postponed so they could retool the scenario to a new and unique one (as they already trained the intended script via the Boston events).

It was an epic night full of twists and turns. movie-like production......

I listened to the entire thing, I even remember just before the law were about to get in the boat. I remember an officer or someone say and I quote " Kill the downlink" I heard that twice I believe.

Yup and then not only did the scanner feeds go down but the sites that were posting it on the net and getting the most attention (mainly this one...) also went down at the exact same time (for the same amount of time).
