Quoting: dmt vector no more rule of law, derp, patriot act 2.0 to outlaw guns gun-powder gun-smoke gun-anytyhing. Its started with Sandy Hook which gave it's stink to Boston and it will continue until you hand your guns over. Sadly, thats what I can see. |

I'm like, WTF? User ID: 26756823 United States 04/19/2013 11:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was listening to it on the radio they were literally cheering as the ambulance went by. The whole thing is strange Quoting: Philligan Maybe those are just sound bytes added in? If they were cheering - it is because they have been traumatized - and just want to have a little dinner, go to bed and forget about the whole ordeal. |

ssle User ID: 31896854 United States 04/19/2013 11:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was glued to the police scanner. I had to keep reminding myself it was real. We're a culture brought up to be media consumers. Every time a cop didn't respond, I got anxious, in the thriller-movie dundunduuun way. It's hard to remember that those guys are probably husbands just wanting to get home safely to their wives and kids. Whether you agree with/support them or not, they're not just media fodder. And that's exactly how this whole thing was being made out by the MSM. We listened to NPR on the way home tonight, and they interviewed someone who lived around the corner from the house where the "suspect" was found. The anchor said, "So, I'm sure you heard the cheering?" The neighbor said, seeming very confused and suddenly uncomfortable, "I saw the ambulance, but I didn't hear any cheering." The anchor tried to cover by talking about it, but...really? If she was that close - only a few city lots - away, how could she not hear that crowd cheering?** Everything with the cops seemed to be spun as super-heros vs super-villain. And everything spotlighted in the media really just seems fucking staged. ** PS: Since when are we a nation who rejoices that a young man who was probably dragged into this by someone he trusts (his big brother?) is bloody, near-death and being hauled off by armed officers to a hospital? There should have been sighs of relief that it was over, but serious sadness among the crowd that his life is, for all intents and purposes, forfeit. I understand that he made these decisions, and other people suffered as a result, but that doesn't remove some level of simple human sympathy. Everyone is worth knowing. Everything is worth learning. You're never too good. You're never not good enough. |

I understand that the people of Boston have been terrorized and the sense of relief must be overwhelming, but cheering in the streets does not seem to appropriate response. “Dogs, for a reason that can only be described as divine, have the ability to forgive, let go of the past, and live each day joyously. notinfallible User ID: 38305418 United States 04/20/2013 12:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The part where some dude was video chatting with the news people, as the swat teams were going door-to-door, and they were talking about some bomb-sniffing robot was sooo fucking staged. After that, they cut to some "terror" expert, from the FBI, talking about the "warning signs" of people that might do something bad someday. He said something about terror guy #1 posting stuff online about how he didn't have any friends, and people that keep to themselves could be crazy people. I thought I had seen it all at this point, but they had another surprise for me. The coach of the guy the cops killed, called in and was telling the news about how good of boxer dude was. He went on to describe how the guy could walk on his hands for fifty feet, or some stupid shit. After all that, I had to turn the TV off. It was just so incredibly, as many have already said, over-the-top. Last Edited by notinfallible on 04/20/2013 12:04 AM Brawndo's got electrolytes. |
