Now the payload is basically a test platform, but she is carrying 3 telecommunications test satellites the size softballs names alexander/graham and bell respectively. It is also carrying a Nano satellite for testing, not sure how big they mean by nano for a satellite.

My guess this is a nice cheap ride for something the companies did not want to fork out a lot of money to test in orbit.

The launch is designed to test whether a practice payload could reach orbit and safely separate from the rocket.

That was yesterday’s launch that was canceled; we are still a go, less than 10 min now.

This isn't the launch US postponed to persuade NK not to do their tests is it? Either way I wonder if it will result in NK going ahead with their tests?

2/1 thrust ratio, this will be a slow liftoff like Raygun linked from the Tweets.

little more info in here on what she is carrying.

Snip;Today's launch attempt will not carry a full Cygnus spacecraft into orbit. Instead, the rocket is topped with a mockup that will mimic the weight of an actual cargo ship. The rocket is also carrying three coffee cup-size Phonesat satellites — named Alexander, Graham and Bell — as part of a space technology experiment for NASA. A fourth nanosatellite, called Dove 1, is also being flown for a commercial customer, Orbital officials said.

Hmm, be kind of crazy if this rocket isn't what it appears to be, but is a massive EMP heading to NK.

I've been reading too much of this site, lol.

Well there we are the first ever Wallop Island Virginia Spaceport launch.

I see dollar signs for the surrounding vacation area as these become more common.

Been planned for a long time and put off a few times due to weather. I sort of considered the military" activity around DC at around 11:00 to 1:00, but that wouldn't have made sense that things slowed down 5 hours before launch.

Just to take this in context, I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS TO INSTIGATE N.K., but if they tried to send an experimental rocket up into orbit, then possibly WW3.

Our country is so fucking arrogant, I am sick. Are we hypocrites?... Well WE may not be, but our leaders are.

This is the third attempt at a first launch with the new Antares private payload delivery system.

Will it get off the pad today?
