Look at the spate of "reality TV" shows and other programs over the last decade, all of which are centered around situational ethics (like "24") where you know what the characters are going to do, and agree with them even though you know that it isn't really the right choice - this is all meant to reinforce the concept that "what is right" is situational, instead of being anchored in absolutes...

Those who refuse to engage in Hegelian Dialectic will always exist, but will always be a small minority, and thus TPTB have other means for dealing with us - coopting us with patriotism, adventurism, escapism; locking us up as mentally ill, or as "radicals and criminals", or simply discrediting people through sustained smear campaigns...
