Reflections Of Thursday Night Marathon On GLP
I have been a lost soul lately, going through a personal crisis, when one night I Googled a particular phrase that bought me to GLP. I had never been on a forum before, much less one called a “conspiracy forum”. Admittedly, I stayed on the site for several hours, absorbing so much information, some I wish I had never read, but most was worthwhile and very creative.

Over the next several weeks, I found myself drawn to this site as a silent observer. I felt kinship with quite a few members, and others who I was intellectually drawn to with a sense of familiarity. With time, I became aware of the posters who I chose to avoid, along with the negative energy they feed into this site.

Then the Boston Marathon bombings occurred on Monday. As time permitted I would visit GLP to try and keep up with the ongoing events. But, it was Thursday night that something special happened on GLP. Even as a newbie, I could tell it was an event all to itself.

I was on GLP reading a post when I blinked and bam, a thread took off about the 2 suspects. It was so amazing, people were posting faster than I could read, it was dizzy. Never had I witnessed so much information in this manner. And to realize that the news media in my area wasn’t even reporting any of this was astonishing. I stayed up all night on GLP, it was it’s own marathon!

What I take away from Thursday night is the members and anonymous posters who that night dropped any pretense and became a reporter of timely events that have impacted so many of us. There was a sense of comradery, a spirit of like minded souls pulling together with the same goal in mind. It was a new experience for me, one I don’t think I will forget. So, thank you to everyone who was there Thursday night sharing your night with me. I may be a lost soul, just not so alone anymore.

yeah, it was epic. I woke up on Friday thinking it was 11 a.m., but it was 2 p.m. and I felt like crap, out of synch all day, so now I know I ain't build for such stuff as staying up all night. Any tips for next time?
When the economy carshes, reports are that lots of people will watch it go round the world, and we'll be up all night for that too.

That's how it starts. That thread reminded me of what GLP was like back in the days when I discovered the site. I don't agree with GLP posters nearly as much as I used to, but I can say that I am much more aware and enlightened due to the thought that this website provokes. Enjoy the ride.

I guess unless the title says Breaking News, people don't read posts like these. I found this to be sincere and touching.
