It's time for a cigarette.
I quit smoking over a year ago.
I'm starting to think we will all be dead in 3 years.
I need a cigarette.

I quit 2 weeks ago... Food tastes so good, who knew it had such a profound flavor?? I smell every little scent in the air! I'm not repulsive to every nonsmoker.

I'll never go back, but i do miss it.

Lol I know what you're saying OP...

GLP doom was just another excuse for me to continue smoking.

Like someone said, go natural tobbaco, it doesn't have a thousand chemicals.
“The living being had no need of eyes because there was nothing outside of him to be seen; nor of ears because there was nothing to be heard; and there was no surrounding atmosphere to be breathed; nor would there have been any use of organs by the help of which he might receive his food or get rid of what he had already digested, since there was nothing which went from him or came into him: for there was nothing beside him. Of design he created thus; his own waste providing his own food, and all that he did or suffered taking place in and by himself. For the Creator conceived that a being which was self-sufficient would be far more excellent than one which lacked anything; and, as he had no need to take anything or defend himself against any one, the Creator did not think it necessary to bestow upon him hands: nor had he any need of feet, nor of the whole apparatus of walking; but the movement suited to his spherical form which was designed by him, being of all the seven that which is most appropriate to mind and intelligence; and he was made to move in the same manner and on the same spot, within his own limits revolving in a circle. All the other six motions were taken away from him, and he was made not to partake of their deviations. And as this circular movement required no feet, the universe was created without legs and without feet.” -Plato

Why not? I'm perfectly healthy and take natural vitamins daily and not overweight. If lung cancer and emphysema takes 20 years to develop then wtf did I quit? Seriously have you looked outside lately? We're in a world of poop

That's what i was thinking. Too much doom lately and plenty more to come if you have read the me tel u thread.

Go natural tobacco if you can, just beware of GMO Marlboro!

I remember experiencing that too. It is nice not having missing taste buds, but you gain weight because you will eat more. Oreos are the devil.

Re: It's time for a cigarette.
While cigarettes may be harmful to the individual user, they are beneficial to the community at large. They provide jobs from planting/harvesting to packaging to commercial sales. They can be taxed and in extreme cases can provide revenue to local municipalities in the form of fines for smoking in a prohibited area.

In the sense of government definition, the "state" is not every individual that comprises the state. The state is the majority of people in a given situation. The "state" is a fluid entity.

The most recent and dramatic example of smoking being a benefit to society is Watertown resident Dave Henneberry who had abided by the shelter in place advisory all day long and only went outside to have a cigarette after the curfew had been lifted when he discovered the suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev hiding in his boat.

So, to all smokers, I say puff away. Help America keep the tobacco industry workers employed. Continue to be a hero on that thin golden-brown line even though you may sacrifice your lungs or your life for the betterment of the rest of us.

You are our heroes.

Don't do it, your assumption is wrong. Very few of us will be dead in 3-4 years, and I can prove it.

On top of that, you don't want to give any of your hard earned to those fucking swine tobacco corps.

Only a year? You're still fighting the addiction, don't cave, bro.

Not to get all biblical or anything but i am a very spiritual person and i had prayed about smoking a lot because preachers look at you with evil eyes if they see you smoking.

Now that I know about the anti-flouride effects of it i don't think I have a problem with smoking anymore.

God wants our minds to be pure...how can we do that if they are full of flouride?

I quit almost 5 months ago now.
I've used nicotine in one form or another since I was 16.
Smoked about a pac of Parliaments every goddamned day.
I do miss it, but I am still hacking on occasion,
For those of you who think you are hopelessly addicted, you're not.
Get a can of copenhagen long cut wintergreen, keep lose dips in for about 10-15 mins til the craving to smoke subsides.
You can quit.
I am about to be in the medical profession, and I didn't want to be a hypocrite.

Post back here if you come up with one.

Mind control stix! tounge
All it costs is a pack a day.
Marlboro 100s are intended to subdue and exhaust.

Even if we DIE in the next 3 years, is it reasonable to start smoking again, especially with your 1.5year accomplishment thus far?

Fear the future as they will, tomorrow is unwritten.
Start smoking today, and tomorrow they always regret it.

We know anxiety can lead us BACK to smoking, but endurance is the key.
Smoking will kill endurance and cause an entirely NEW anxiety to return, addiction.
