I homebrew and use Irish moss to clarify my beer. My new years goal was to only drink homebrew and I've had plenty of poopin issues lately. Seems like maybe this is the cause... Damn that.

Cargill is a major supplier of Carrageenan. They also supply chemicals and other industrial supplies

I always tried to avoid carageean just because I didn't know what it was and in my mind that put it in the category along with all other strange sounding chemical names. I have noticed it in some brands of canned milk.

Thank you for this. I'm on an SCD diet but have been consuming foods that are 'SCD safe' with this additive in it.

Wrong approach entirely. TRY THIS:

1. Stop banning anything. Rescind all bans.
2. Go back to the original purpose of the FDA - PURE foods and drugs. Everything labeled accurately as to ingredients and amounts. NO connection with ag, pharma, or any other special interest.
3. Let the chips fall where they may. Some folks will abuse and die, the rest of us can get on with our lives. There will be plenty of advice to follow if that's your wish.

what is a good organic creamer or half & half without this carrageenan in it?

basically avoid everything except:

fresh vegetables, leafy greens, fruits, herbs (make sure they're not sprayed with pesticides/herbicides/chemicals/mold inhibitors)
fresh nuts/seeds (if you sprout them they are easier on digestion
and digest better)
fresh fish (from a unpolluted source with low mercury)
fresh meat (that is grassfed and not fed a grain/soy diet)
fresh dairy (from a grassfed animal)

and you should be healthy.

yes, it's hard, and few feel like they have the time, but you just have to avoid processed food and make your own from scratch as often as possible, or simplify your habits

It explains why I nearly ended up in the E.R.
this weekend!
I won't go into particulars but my hubby
and I have recently taken up R.V.'ing in
the winters. We decided it would be alot
less trouble for cooking (we only have a
microwave/hotplate in the R.V.) to buy
T.V. dinners and deli meats for sammies.
Both of us have felt terrible this winter
and especially after adding slimfast to
take off some weight I've really had some
symptoms....And--as I said--almost ended up
going to the E.R.
I am going to TOTALLY eliminate these foods
from our diet. Thanks you may have saved
a life!
WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO RALPH NADER? Why
isn't Michael Moore ALL OVER THIS TOPIC?
People need to know this--I've never even
heard about this crap in our food before!
