Why the DEA was present in the "manhunt" for the Tsarnaev brothers in Boston?

I'm sure more people noticed the guys on DEA jackets on TV during Friday's manhunt in Boston...

Drug Enforcement Administration present in a manhunt for "terrorists"?

i could have sworn i read somewhere that they found drugs in some homes, not sure if they did anything though

I think when a terror manhunt is on every available law enforcement unit is called in

maybe the brothers were DRUG DEALERS, not terrorists?

Hey im not saying im right, but there is a number of reasons why they would be hanging around and not necessarily involved in the hunt

But remember that the government is involved in drug trafficking too. Probably a setup. Now since i dont know much about drug trafficking, can anyone connect the dots?

The best reason: to make the Tsarnaev brothers believe that was a DEA operation, and that they were being hunted down becauce they were drug dealers (that they in fact were).


They believed all the time they were being hunted by the DEA, with support of SWAT, because they were drug dealers
