Isaiah 11

King James Version (KJV)

11 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked
(same as the two witnesses do in Rev 11 fire procedeth out of their mouth and destroys their enemies.)

5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

15 And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.(This is showing a second parting of the sea as in the times of Moses and Aaron but this time is is Judah and Ephraim the two witnesses)

16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

The two witnesses are referred to as they/them in(Rev.11). Then in another thread you say the two witnesses are Adam and Eve. And you show where God said he was to bless them and they were to be fruitful and multiply. How you get the two witnesses out of that, and then say later in this thread that the two witnesses are not representative of a male (Adam) and Female (Eve) but two males, contradicting your own words. Now, throughout this thread and some of your other threads; you take what is obviously referring to a single individual him/his/he in the passages and you change it to a them/they concept. It seems you want it to work, however, you can manipulate the word of God to propagate your own personal meaning. Regardless, of how many changes you must make; adding to and taking from God's word is not the proper course of deciphering the word. God says him/he/his, God means him/his/he, not them/they! These passages are evidently speaking about an individual not two or a group or of any private interpretation. These passages are speaking of an individual, singular, not plural. God is not the author of confusion, God is able to make plain that which is spoken. God doesn't need any adding or subtracting from his word to make a new sound or project a new meaning or to bring about a perfected interpretation. Through this effort, this leads whole passages of the word toward a completely different direction then what it was intended to accomplish..the correct interpretation!

I guess we will have to agree to disagree because the 2 witnesses are clearly a priest and a king and the bible shows those 2 offices are to be kept separate. Read the story of king uzziah who tried to be the priest and king and then was struck with leprosy. Also watch the video I posted a couple up it shows how the word anointed can be singular or plural

 Quoting: waterman
That still has no bearing on these passages, on this individual. Under that logic every passage in the Bible speaking about an individual could be assumed it was referring to two individual or more, simply because they are anointed. You cannot apply your own interpretation and then expect obedient compliance and agreement simply because you say it is so.

When something is joined in union it is considered 1. Not 2 just 1...I can tell from your posts that this is something you cannot accept. The "Branch" is the ones building the temple which is Joshuah the priest and zerubbabel the king. They are 2 different people but are considered "the man" the Branch.........really my posts just make you angry and are of no value to you. Why do you visit them?

12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold "the man" whose name is The Branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord:

13 Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
