The IDF's Spokesperson's Unit issued a statement saying, "Today the (army) thwarted the penetration of an unmanned aircraft into Israeli
territory. Shortly after 1 pm a drone was identified as it was flying north to south from the Lebanese coastline. The air defense system tracked for (several) minutes it while it was still in Lebanese territory, and it was tracked throughout its flight until the interception. IAF planes were scrambled, as were combat helicopters, after it was determined that the aircraft was not friendly, and certainly not (an Israeli) aircraft. IDF fighter jets shot down an unmanned aircraft off the coast of Haifa Thursday. According to an IDF source, the aircraft took off from Lebanon and was apparently sent by Hezbollah.

Israeli navy and air force troops were scanning the area where the aircraft was intercepted in order to prevent possible entry of additional drones, and in order to locate remains which might shed light on the aircraft’s mission.

The plane was identified while still in Lebanon and IDF fighter jets were immediately scrambled to track it. Once it became clear that the drone was not an IDF or civilian aircraft, a decision was made to intercept the drone.

It was shot down by an F-16C fighter jet some five miles off the Haifa coast at 6,000 feet in the air, the IDF said.

They supposedly tracked this drone from Hezbollah a while back and shot it down yet the video footage they showed was just like they show in every other bullshit story.

From a distance and nothing is ever easily discernible even though the cameras they have are far superior to anything the public has.
