I'm in NJ.. Dogs have been up my ass all night! They do the same thing during a bad thunderstorm or fireworks. However, it's clear and quiet out.. Just curious.. I have that impending doom feeling..ahhh

Cats acting strange on Long Island; however I cannot see how these two incidents are related. It's probably just a coincidence, don't worry about it.

I have five dogs. They have all been barking alot and my pit bull/malamute mix has crawled under the bed and has been hiding there for the past few hours.

My cat Conana is acting weird too. She won't let me hold her and she normally does. And, she's been hiding behind my computer monitor.

No. Dog is normal. Very tired and wants us (all of us) to go to bed, goddamn it.

Dog sighed, ironed next workdays' suit coat and pants, watched the last of Mad Men and then said fuck it, I am out. And she was.

Re: Anyone else's Dogs(pets) acting strangely tonight?
I have a lab that is usually very laid back and just likes to lay around the house. For the last few hours he has been hiding under my desk and keeps panting like crazy. A few times he nearly tripped me as he dashed under the desk after meal time, and drinking water. I don't know what has gotten into him, he has never acted like this before, ever. He will be turning 4 this fall and has never shown any fear towards anything before. blink

Impressive, that beats the hell out of mine. Got home late last night and my wife said "some stripper named Kandy "with a K" called and said you forgot something". "Never heard of her, besides I was working late. "She called using your phone dumbass".

Saw some crows just walking around aimlessly in my front yard today, which I thought was kinda strange.

2 possibilities: tonight is a full moon

Exactly guys. It's a 'powerful' full moon. Whatever that means. A friend today mentioned the 'powerful' part to me in passing conversation. but I didn't have a chance to ask her to expand upon it.

hhhmmmmmm...

Im near Chicago, my grandmas jack russle has been acting out of place as well...

every time we let her out she stays on the porch and barks till we let her in...

I trained this dog and she is super smart, she doesn't act like this.

I had just said something to my grandma not 4-5 hrs ago.

I apologise, ive just seen a million postsa like this before & they never amount to anything. you seem to genuinley care for you pet & wanna know whats going on.

i would look at the potential obvious causes for your dogs quiet behavior, before the ridiculous paranoid ones.

here's some more plausible suggestions:

period pain
unwell
unhealthy
emotional problems
sensing some upset in you?
in a bad mood
toothache

I was just curious if anyone was seeing the same.. I'm not sure what the reason is.. All three of my dogs aren't sick and it seems others are seeing similar behaviors. May just be the moon I'm thinking..
