Quoting: wisc_natureboy "Weir appeared OK at first. But during a second set that included “Eyes of The World,” “Uncle John’s Band, “Scarlet Begonias” and “Unbroken Chain,” Weir could barely remember the words to several songs and was increasingly unable to stand up. He nearly fell into the amps behind him at one point before tense crew members brought out a red folding chair and placed it in front of Weir as the band played on. Weir kicked the chair and continued to play guitar standing up. He then swayed to his left and fell down, stunning the audience. With the help of crew members, he was assisted up and sat in a red folding chair before nearly falling over several times. Eventually, after Weir began to play something on the guitar by himself, the crew unplugged his guitar. Lesh and bandmate John Kadlecek walked off stage, leaving Weir alone before he was escorted off by the crew." Hope he doesn't go with Jerry anytime soon... Sat at the bar with him between sets back in the early 70's was a great guy. Don't worry he has been back & forth to d=see Jeyy hundreds of times. Not the last by any means... |

[link to zagsblog.com] radiation sickness can cause dizziness plenty of people i know have had this close together I noticed including my self I dont think it was a lack of water I drink water all the time from my R.O filter. Neurovascular. This syndrome typically occurs at absorbed doses greater than 30 Gy (3000 rad), though it may occur at 10 Gy (1000 rad).[1] It presents with neurological symptoms such as dizziness, headache, or decreased level of consciousness, occurring within minutes to a few hours, and with an absence of vomiting. It is invariably fatal.[1] The prodrome (early symptoms) of ARS typically includes nausea and vomiting, headaches, fatigue, fever and short period of skin reddening.[1] These symptoms may occur at radiation doses as low as 35 rad (0.35 Gy). These symptoms are common to many illnesses and may not, by themselves, indicate acute radiation sickness.[1] [link to en.wikipedia.org] |

Hope he gets real help for his 'shoulder' this time. Jerry had an ultra light wieght axe made w/ a built in midi that was outright stunning. Only saw him play it during '93 JGB tour and always wonderd why it did not replace Hula. Oh well, hope he gets the help he obviously needs and maybe a new feather wieght axe. Were getting to old for hard rides N.F.A. |
