damn I thought I read one of the news articles last week saying he had to be amputated below the knees... not above. above knee amputation is even harder to live with.

I noticed that, like he might have a prosthetic under his pants.

You people and the lack of common sense. This was a marathon. There was a medical tent(s) set up in quite a few areas that had stretchers, wheelchairs, and even...gasp MEDICAL Personnel. The amount of stupidity in this thread is amazing.

I've been at the scene of serious accidents and the like (never a bombing) and the roads are clogged with ambulances and firetrucks within minutes. I've actually seen an ambulance shove a car out of the way to get access to the scene. They don't take trauma victims on stretchers and wheelchairs and push them a block up the street to be treated, they bring the treatment units to the victims.

There was lots of opportunity for photographers and cameramen to get close to the gore in Boston though.

My response: It's worse than that even - Mister exposed leg bone was wheeled back and forth through the scene, as far as the cameras went that were covering it, NO FEWER THAN 4 TIMES, to make GOOD AND SURE he got his picture taken plenty of times. No nice photo of when his prop leg fell off though. And since I never saw a photo of ANY responding ambulance, even off in the distance, it cannot be said that they were 50 - 100 yards away. I don't think they were there AT ALL.

Not to be graphic but has anyone bothered to compare this to a real bomb blast or IED? I have. There are vast differences and some similarities. I am not sure what the rules are about stuff like that, so I will just say to search Youtube for 'IED legs'. You'll find the real deal. I am trying to be completely objective here. I noticed a few things, as difficult as it is to watch (and it is!).

1) The blood color is NOT fire engine, nail polish red. In ANY of the footage.
2) The severed limbs do NOT necessarily spurt blood all over the place. However, they do bleed profusely.
3) In one video, an Afghan army guy gets his leg, arm and face blown off. When the chopper arrived I looked at the time and it had elapsed over 20 mins. He was conscious, though delirious, for at least 18 mins. Did not pass out until then.
4) He obviously did not bleed out in that time, however - he had immediate medic attention and a tourniquet was applied with in the first few minutes.
What does all this mean? I advise you to view the REAL content and judge for yourself. If you are not open minded enough to consider all the facts and make a logical determination, then it matters not what the truth is for you.

Maybe by people that don't hate America and want them all to get rounded up and shot in the kneecaps so they can watch them call that a conspiracy too.

If someone attempted to convince me that real people --with no families to miss them-- were sustaining real injuries despite what the narrator was saying, it would still be VERY DIFFICULT for me to discount that the injuries were fake.

Just the opposite of what Boston has presented to us.

I've been looking for info like that. The general population does not know what the bodily damage of a bomb looks like, and thus unable to compare.

The one thing I can tell you, is that the bright orange-red blood pond does NOT look like any blood I've ever seen before... And I'm a medical professional.

The video supplied by the poster above, that shows the military medical training, looks more real than the Boston bomb scene with Jeff. The secondary Boston scene does look more real, however,

Someone speculated somewhere on another thread that the black lady was taken away on the stretcher with the first set of fake legs hidden under her blanket.

There is a blast screen behind the glass window. Look at the pictures closely of that large window on the left and you will see a reflection in even though it has blown out. They do that on sets to get the glass to go outward. They left the blast screen behind the window.

I've seen that before. Awful! But I think there actually was quite a lot of blood. It was smeared up and down the road and pooling up underneath him. Note the color as well. Someone should have at least covered him so he couldn't see it! Yikes!
