engine was an iron blocked LQ9, 408 Cubic inch, eagle forged rods and crank, with wiseco dished pistons. running approximately 11.5:1 compression with a HEAVILY ported LS6 based head and 2.08 1.60 valves. Fast intake, long tubes, custom tune, you name it and i had it. Ended up snapping the forged crank (wonderful chinese casting) clean in half.


Bought a new engine (best of the best) LSX block, callies dragonslayer crank, callies H/I hybrid HD rods, Diamond custom RACE coated pistons, best of the best to end up turboing my car and shooting for 1000RHWP. Had some medical problems come up, followed by some finanacial problems and my wife losing her job and losing my insurance, and the medical crap swallowed me whole and i had to sell just about everything. Finally getting back on top of things. Didnt ask for the gubment to bail me out, busted my ass and worked my butt off to pay everything in full myself.

I've still got the 93 Mustang that I bought when I was 19 (back in 97). I drive a 12 Mazdaspeed3.

heh while accords are not exactly what i was talking about, in utah some of my other very close friends have Civics that make 1000 HP with a tiny 4 cylinder. its amazing what forced induction can do with fuel injection and a good solid tune.

A funny car story...

A casino in my area was having a car raffle. August 31,1997, someone was going to win the atomic orange convertible Corvette. My dad and I were in the raffle pool so of course, we went to see who won. You have to be present to win and the tickets had accumulated for 2 months. The announcer calls out a man's name. It sounded like a native name........2 minutes later he was out of luck. They call another male native american sounding name......tic tic tic...He wasn't there....he was probably having a beer mowing the lawn or fishing for crab. The third name is called....this time it sounds like your great grand mothers name. I was delighted, as this cotton haired, bent at 45 degrees, crispy old woman walked slowly (with a walker)toward the winners podium inch by inch. She had to be 112 years old! I am sure she had not been behind the wheel in decades! It was funny. I wondered about the phone calls the native guys got.

Best truck ever made: Toyota HILux 4x4 Twincab. I live overseas, so they make this amazing small size diesel 4x4 that can go anywhere, lasts forever, amazing longevity on all its parts, and I can run it on 3 different kinds of fuel, from coconut oil to kerosene, to the dirty diesel #2 they sell over here.

And it just goes and goes. I love my truck! Unfortunately they won't import it to America because it is too good of a vehicle. Kinda like the Volkswagens and Mercs you can get in Europe with 80mph.

I have a factory five cobra that I built. It has a 535 hp 427w in it ( the new "BOSS 427" from Ford Racing)

0-60 2.9 seconds
1/4 mile with Nitto drag radials ( street legal 315-17-35 slicks) 10.8@ 138mph

I'm down for that. Also, I have 20 yrs of mechanic experience, and have several certifications...but I do it myself, I buy cars at auction, and then repair and re-sell for profit.

So if anyone has an issue with their car, go a head and ask me anything.

That has got to be really rare, because I thought you could only get the 289 for the v8 in '57.

On another note, a friend of mine who went to an auction of an antique car junkyard, got an old Chrysler with a 392 hemi in it. That was crazy, I had never heard of a 392 hemi before. But he had said that they had made an assortment of smaller hemi's for DeSoto's and Chrysler's back in the 50's and early 60's.
