Why are there ugly women if evolution teaches us only the strongest and attractive mate?

Well, given that today's man think any woman is ugly who is not airbrushed and photoshopped, will men eventually evolve to become sterile since they are mostly all in love with computer generated illusions of females? A live organic female like me that is tall, thin and healthy but otherwise plain, will not elicit the same response from most men as a perfect, chopped and shopped female image of a porn actress. It's just a fact about men and it's something I've accepted.

Beauty in nature is only defined by symmetry. The most symmetrical people are considered the most beautiful.

Even a person that you think is ugly can be perfectly symmetrical...

I did not know that evolution theory dictate only attractive mate.

And did not know about strongest either.

I've done that phi ratio measurement of my face and my proportions were nearly perfect, but that does not matter, like you say...if perception, preference or culture says otherwise.

Evolution does not teach that "only" the strongest and most attractive mate...

It teaches us that those that DO mate and produce offspring pass on their genetic info.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Healthy is another story and healthier (spiritually, mentally and physically) women tend to be more attractive.
A girl or guy who's doing well on those three fronts will always be beautiful.

We cannot have all be beautiful all our lives, one must learn lessons to attain a state of beauty, strength of character and kindness.
