The guy had an ATF Police jacket on. The caption of the photo said that Tsarnaev was being fitted for an oxygen mask, but it looked to me like he was being given a tracheotomy. I replied in that post that this is what it looked like to me. This was before it came out that he had lost his voice box. I have to believe that what was posted was the ATF guy cutting his voicebox out of him. But the biggest clue is the back of his neck seems the line there is where they stopped the makeup. Perhaps for a funeral or something. And the makeup line seems to be consistent with the red mark all over him. Did he actually set his vest off? Seems to me he did with all the raspberry marks around his neckline. But hey if he rigged it on a bullet proof vest would explain it better.

You are trying to compare a Full Face view to a Profile view. That's almost laughable. Ear contours are very telling, and while Dzhokhar's ear displays a different shape in Profile than it does in Full Face, the bigger problem you have is simply your Full Face picture doesn't display his ENTIRE EAR. Seriously, c'mon! Looking at the tight contour (fold or Helix) of his ear there is a valid comparison between both photos. Enough to suggest you aren't focusing on the right part of the ear or need better pictures. At this point, I would recommend you get a better control picture(s) to make your argument.
