because all three take away from personal responsibility.
you aren't good enough so you need religion. Can't think for yourself so here's some rules that are old but supposedly across the board
here have some Jesus since you'll never EVER be good enough to get to heaven on your own
hey have some Satan because if you ever need something to blame your faults and bad decisions on THERE HE IS...
