Quoting: Art of the Earth 39074991 Whoever rearranged the mountains, valleys and trees to create magnificent art were masters of a technology unknown to us today. It happens that the art I'd like to show you is all in Utah near Park City (if you like skiing and mountains, you'd enjoy it here). Each image is oriented perfectly North/South. Since most images measure 3 miles across, they can only be seen from 5-10 miles altitude using GoogleEarth. To help others "see" this art, I created a Photoshop version of each image, then crafted them into videos with some of my favorite music. I'm not a great artist or a video expert, but I learned basic Photoshop and MovieMaker so I could share the information. Here's three I like (each is only a minute long): Even though they correlate to the Apocalypse, I'm not Mormon, and I'm not religiously affiliated, but I still think Earthlings should know about them! Quoting: U3 [link to youtu.be] [link to youtu.be] That's insane. Very talented. He's amazing. He says he watches as he puts the pencil down and starts drawing, then he looks to the other hand and puts the pencil down and starts drawing. Then looks back to the first hand. Have you drawn things w/o looking at what you're doing and only looking at the model? Or, drawn things upside down? Those are good exercises. "We are the music makers. My art teacher in middle school used to tell us to look at what we were drawing (model, etc) for 80% of the time, and at the paper for 20%, but i found this to be too much on the subject. I like to do about 50/50, until i have the proportions and everything correct, then i focus on aesthetics- linework, shading, etc. Also, my art teacher had some lady come in once, she was one of the students mothers, and she had us do the upside down exercise. She explained that our brains see things differently upside down and that it would help us with accuracy. Both were good to know. :) I have this theory that you can make any sentence seem profound by writing the name of a dead philosopher at the end of it - Plato |
