This is a big difference.
Killing was allowed for several reasons in the Old Testament, including revenge and war.

christers will believe whatever the fuck they are told. Even if they receive two ideas simultaneously that are diametrically opposed. They somehow figure out a way to justify their hypocrisy.

They're morons.

A great number of Christians do believe this fact that killing is shit. Alot of Christians don't really need a Bible to tell them killing is wrong. But remember, it does not say in the bible that it is a sin to punch a shit out.stfu

Most people are better than the Bible. Most people don't even need a 10 commandments to know how to behave. That's why I think the Bible is out of date and not a good spiritual guide for civilized decent people. Some savages might still find it useful and could improve themselves by following the bible, but not modern man.

Totally out of context. A lot of those verses shows what will happen in war and famine. In famine , they would be so hungry that they would eat the fruit of their bodies...children. In war their enemies would dash their children against the stones because their enemies were very cruel. Dude you can even make the bible say that there is no God by taking just on verse out of Context. for an example, the bible says that "the fool has said in his heart that there is no God".
Bible Study ToolsBible VersionsPsalmsPsalm 53Psalm 53:1. You can actually take the statement "there is no God" and say that the bible says it. before you go spouting off about the bible you need spiritual discernment to even understand what you are talking about. Anybody can just pull a verse or a statement out of the bible without reading the whole chapter that it came from and make it say something totally diferent. God grief.

Go back and read the old Testiment in Genesis where it says the Nephilim or fallen angels found the daughters of men to be pretty and they took all they wanted for wives. The result were half breeds and giants. I think it was remnants of these that God called for destruction of.

Yohoo OP, that is the Septuagint. Christians follow Jesus. The Catholic Church stitched that together with the NT to make a eucenumical religion, Catholicism. True Christians are of Nazarene faith, different from the nazarite of the OT. Christ bashed the Pharisees for their animal and human sacrifice rituals, as well as stoning practices. These practices are now the Muslim faith. Followers of Jesus do not believe in ending a human life. All the verse you state refer to Israel and Ishmael. Not true Christians. Figure out the right people you are judging before flying off the handle. Thanks.

Re: Thou shalt not kill? Really, Christians, you believe that?
Its Great just copying and pasting verses completely out of context of their Historic settings, it is a Sin to Kill because it breaks the 6th Commandment, however its Not a Sin to defend yourself in a Battle against a larger bloodthirsty group who will do who knows what to you if you lose

Nor is it a Sin If God Tells you to go into another land to possess it

We are also talking about a time in History when Men Would just kill people for any reason, The Jewish People had some of the most Civilized Laws of their own They enslaved their defeated foes in the nicest possible way after 7 years they could leave or stay as an equal which many times people saw the benefit of that, they were slaves but they were treated like family and they were paid for their work

The Nations they where fighting against were often Baal or Dag-on Worshipers who did the most Barbaric and wicked things to their own women and children killing them would have been doing them a favor both physically, mentally and spiritually.

I'm not advocating Murder or violence against anyone, we live in a different age, However the God who fed Elijah in the Wilderness still Lives today, The One who commanded Moses to let His People Go, could just as easily today raise somebody up to go and warn the Pope about the Plagues that will be visited on Him and His Catholic People soon

and like the Pharaoh of ancient Egypt

The pope who lives like a kind of spoiled man-god on this earth having anything his little heart desires brought to him would laugh and not recognize the God of The Seventh Day Sabbath, hardening his own little heart just like Pharaoh did.
