Many people making tons of money posting content in youtube
I just saw this drummer who used to post crappy drum covers in youtube, he's got 10 million video views now. That's quite a lot of money in ads for sure, needless to mention endorsements and other goodies. Seems like making covers, parodies or merely talking about popular stuff, while really caring about the video production and smiling a whole lot does the trick. I notice these people really work on those smiles, to the point of consciously forcing them. Also making outrageous or preposterous stuff that cause humor really hits home. Seems like the average "public" are really attracted to certain triggers. Of course being good looking is a plus, if you're good looking, cover something popular, music, blogging, parodies etc and seem very happy and funny then people will get into your stuff.

I've always been curious about these little tricks that people use to get successful in this world, it seems there's some particular methods that do it. Some people come with these attributes naturally but some other people realize them and they really strive to master them. These methods work in any realm of society, whether picking up girls, getting a raise at work or becoming successful at your craft. It reminds me of animals and how the ones with the most attractive attributes get the most females and assure their food supply and further their genes to the next generations.

There's a sort of game being played constantly in this world and if you want to get the largest piece of the pie you need to play it and you need to play it well. We live in a "meme" world nowadays and it seems the tendency is becoming more and more to repeat stuff with an interesting twist to get attention. Even most successful aspiring musicians nowadays are getting popular, not by creating anything themselves, but by covering others and trying to appear attractive to the public. This new internet/video culture is really fascinating, and since Youtube added the money factor into it there's many people getting rich with it.

Just some thoughts I am throwing out there, feel free to chime in.
"White privilege" is the liberal religion's version of Original Sin: you are born guilty, and you carry that burden of guilt all your life, and the only way to escape eternal damnation is for white people confess their sin, to bow, kneel and believe the dogma of the Church of Liberalism, genuflect at its altars, honor its saints, fill the collection plate, and never, ever doubt.

Yes, we all are like rats eating each others droppings at this point in time.

The last thing that was real was the 1980's.

ROFL yeah seems like it Goat. There's something really creepy about the fake smiles and all the forced appeal. I do not think for a second this is new however, people have been selling their souls to the collective for a long time consciously to assure their food supply and comfortable lives. Most people don't give a them about living an honest life, it's all about the money and the benefits it brings. That's why I say, this world is a big game, with few winners and lots of losers.

Most people however are oblivious to the game, they quickly become consumers of what it offers. They crave for the entertainment that will quench the immense boredom that mundane life brings and they will quickly fall for the emotional tactics used by those cunningly wielding "the method" to ensure their enjoyment in their own lives. The unknown factor is the metaphysical one, if there's only this existence we live through our lives then these people are the fucking winners of everything, but if there's something more, maybe they're failing hard at life, or who knows. wink

youtube is the new television

sitcoms shortened the attention span to 20 minutes (30 minutes with commercials)

but with youtube, everyone's attention span has now been shortened to 2 minutes

There's something macabre about it all, sort of as if we lived in a huge Truman show kind of artificial place, but more complex and vaster. Some people just don't see it though, they don't see the fakeness of it all, they just swallow it completely and love every second. This also reminds me of Jesus' analogy of people who are "of this world" and those who aren't. For some people it's much harder to tune themselves into this frequency. Think Tesla for instance, a guy that was a benign genius yet he couldn't break into all this societal illusory crust, the ones who were working through "The Method" were able to crush him easily.

If you're enamored with the illusion, it becomes so much easier to tune into its frequency and reap its rewards.
