Message Subject The Apparition of Mary, "Queen of Heaven"

Your post is so full of incorrect and misleading information, I can't respond to it all. What apparition of Mary are you referring to? There are hundreds, if not thousands, reported across the globe. The Catholic church has only approved a handful of these apparitions.

If you really want to know what the Catholic church actually teaches about Revelation and about Mary, why don't you look to the Catechism instead of relying on outside disinformation agents?

Do you even know what an intercessor is? Do you even know what the 'Communion of Saints' is? Catholics do not worship or idolize Mary. They regard her as a loving mother, just as Jesus taught:

"When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, 'Woman, behold your son.' Then he said to the disciple, 'Behold your mother.' And from that hour the disciple took her into his home." John 19:26-27. You think these words made the Book of John, the pinnacle of the Gospels, because Jesus, the son of God, was concerned nobody would take care of his mother?

Mary was born without sin - if she had been a sinful person, how could she possibly have carried in her womb the perfect, sinless and divine Jesus? He had to be born perfect - unsoiled by the sin and evil of this world.

Catholics honor Mary's purity and her complete abandonment to the will of God. This is not idolatry - we don't worship Mary, we ask her to pray for us because she is so beloved by the Father and by Jesus. How can you dishonor Jesus by loving his mother - whose entire existence was dedicated to giving glory and honor to the Father and the Son? It's impossible! We pray to Mary only asking her to pray on our behalf - we do not worship her. We only worship the Triune God (Father, son and Holy Spirit.) All glory and honor belongs to God alone - this is VERY clear in Catholic theology.

That said, Mary clearly has an integral role in God's plan. If you notice above, in the book of John, when Jesus refers to his mother, he uses the word 'Woman' and 'Woman' is capitalized. This conjures up and refers back to the 'Woman' in Genesis - "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers, they will strike at your head while you strike at their heel." Genesis 3:15. Mary's complete abandonment to the will of God as well as her purity and her absence of sin are the antidotes to evil in this world. Why should her example not be held up for us to emulate?

Back to the apparitions - it is possible, in fact, very likely, that a large number of these apparitions are either fake or demonic in nature - a trick of the enemy. This is why it is imperative that the faithful should treat any apparition that has not been investigated and approved by the Church. And the Church is very clear on this point.

Are you anti-Christian, or just anti-Catholic?
