I'm sorry to hear that you renounced Christianity. When I was in my early teens, my church performed a drama. It was about judgement day and what happens. In one of the scenes, a former Christian is being judged. When asked why she left the Church, she complained about hypocrites. She said Church was full of hypocrites and she just couldn't stand it. When asked why she stopped believing in God, she said again, hypocrites. Since she didn't want to be associated with so many hypocrites, she decided she wouldn't believe in what they believed. Well, she was sent to Hell. At Hell's Gate, the Devil met her. In his welcome speech, he boasted about how he looooved hypocrites. It is the damn hypocrites that keep converting more and more Christians to the Devil's side.

Haha...just remembered that. I think I decided at the time that nothing would stop me from believing. Because of that, I am now able to discern what is nonsensical, research that which I do not understand and gain knowledge. In my quest, I've discovered many things about the Church that are pure fiction and hypocritical. Even about texts in the Bible, when taken literally. But I have also come to really love and respect the man Jesus a lot more. I have also come through my own life experiences to know not only that God exists but that if I search hard enough, I will find Him.
