Every nuclear power plant should absolutely be transparent and open to the public. At least considering maintenance information. In the last month there have been several "incidents" at nuke plants in the USA. We are working on solution. Suggest you go to www.life-ray.org BTW--didn't they watch MacGyver? Duct tape is so much more useful. Joking aside, we all need to understand the LIFE on this planet is under attack. AT THE VERY LEAST, everyone should be taking double portions of MINERALS--CHELATED potassium, magnesium and calcium. And put antennas in your yards. We posted this two years ago. Rebar in the ground, six feet exposed above the surface, works. You will be able to pick up our transmission. |

It makes me wonder what's going in sindie these other ones. VT was forced to allow Yankee to start by the feds, even though Yankee didn't have a certificate of public good. I'm starting to wonder if we are all not surrounded by a ring of death. |

But that was only used for firefighting on the ship and it was a small leak but no bullshit that ducktape held true. I know its not the same but it kind of reminded me of that. |

This is a travesty. The amount of money being made by these plants DEMANDS that they have on hand immediately available crisis staff who follow preconfigured protocol. In fact, even if they DID NOT make enough money to support such staff, the law should DEMAND such staff necessary, or the plant will not be allowed to operate. It's time for a rewrite, and, time to switch to free energy, wind and solar...before we kill the entire planet. Oh, wait...that's already in progress. -- TRUST THE PLAN -- .......WWG1WGA...... ____________________________ still in awe of many things |

This plant has not even been hit by a tsunami and it looks like it is just one screw up away from melt down. Quoting: TerrorByte I hear ya. I'm halfway between this one and Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant, which they built using backwards blueprints, on an active earthquake fault. |

It is not really that surprising that major infrastructure problems are arising. The vast majority of them should have been shut down and decommissioned decades ago. Of course since any attempt to build new ones would have resulted in having to swim against a shitstorm of protest and regulatory red tape, no one wanted to make the attempt. So in order to keep the lights on the old ones just kept getting their expiry dates pushed up. That will only work for so long though, and eventually there will be a real incident. |

No mention of what exactly is in these pipes? could be heavy water or acid, either way my guess? is the gasket eroded and thats cause of the leak. also i would not consider the problem super problem-matic. it could be a collant leak and small if it was semi- fixable with out the use of real tools, However I am concerned about someone trying to "fix" the problem with tape and plastic and broom sticks? (LOL) if the plant was organized, and has a security clearance why the stoner pothead fix? there should be the proper people there to adress the problem on hand or on call! |
