Obama bashes the main stream media and praises digital journalists...That's us GLP!

Guys, President Obama covered just about every conspiracy surrounding him in this very amusing speech given at the White House Correspondence Dinner last night. Even if he doesn't read GLP, his speech writers most certainly do.

He called MSNBC the darkside, and went on to bash the White House Press Corp, Fox, History Channel and CNN to name a few.

"...I know CNN has taken some knocks lately but the fact is I admire their commitment to cover all sides of the story just in case one of them happens to be accurate..."

"...But the problem is that the media landscape is changing so rapidly. You can't keep up with it. I remember when buzz feed was something I did in college around 2 AM. It's true..."

"...Fact is, I really do respect the press. I recognize the press and I have different jobs to do. My job is to be president, your job is to keep me humble. Frankly, I think I'm doing my job better. Part of the problem is that everybody is so cynical. We're constantly feeding cynicism, suspicion, conspiracies..."

Given the context of the speech and how inept he portrays the MSM, he goes on the praise the digital journalists (GLP):

"...And we also saw journalists at their best- especially those who took the time to wade upstream through the torrent of digital rumors to chase down leads and verify facts and painstakingly put the pieces together to inform and educate and to tell the stories that demanded to be told..."

I realize Obama is not popular on this forum but he may surprise us all in a very good way. Actually listen to what this man says, and listen between the lines, too.
