I didn't vote for you but I never got off the fence until a few months ago. I like you and trust you, now and I understand the US presidency doesn't hold as much power as most ppl believe.

When life is good, you're a hero, when it's bad you're a villain. I'm sure you've realized that your constituents are not so bright, unfamiliar with self-responsibility and are in constant need of a scapegoat. They are unable and/or unwilling to take responsibility for their own lives, country and planet. They need a parent figure, president, god or extraterrestrial to solve their problems for them without any effort put forth on their part.

I sympathize with you, Mr. Obama. I know you mean well but there's only so much a mere mortal can do. To be honest, I don't think most people in this country or even on this forum are ready or worthy to live in the beautiful world you envision. But you are a trail blazer and I know you'll go far. And when you pass the torch it will be that much easier for your predecessors.
