Re: e-cigs?
Thanks for all the replies! I'm a bit worried about the initial cost, but I guess that's silly considering how much I spend on smokes in a week. It does sound like a great alternative, and I haven't heard any horror stories yet!!

This is true.

This website has some reliable e-cigs and some decent liquids as well. [link to www.volcanoecigs.com] ... however it's a little pricey for someone who doesn't know if it will work out or not.

When I started out... I went with the cheapest version to try it out and see if it could replace regular cigs. Went with this cheap starting kit: [link to eliquid-usa.com]

Yeah there's the initial cost but find a supplier near you and they might let you try a few PVs to see what you prefer.

Also here's a calculator to see how much you spend on regular smokes.

Since I have been on my e-cig my breathing has improved immensely and my chest feels ten times better already been 5 months now go for it op and its true the most expensive aren't always necessarily the best, my first e-cig was £13 and still got that one, but slightly upgraded and initial outlay was £25 and am very happy with it

Re: e-cigs?
They are made to not feel like smoking but to be a healthier alternative. There's nicotine but no carcinogines. I just started working at Volcano E-Cigs, and started using the product almost 2 weeks now. I still smoke stoges but less... They say the more you use the E-cig the less you smoke reg. stoges.

Honestly they taste very different, and I haven't gotten the same feeling. I've been trying to acclimate to V2 Reds, but not there yet.

I order from MadVapes...best prices on ejuices, huge selection. Ive been using an ego ecig for over a year now, couldn't be happier. I've gone from 24mg, down to 6mg and happily vaping along at that.

Re: e-cigs?
started with an ego-T with a Vision Clearomizer and it kicked ass. Vape Dudes is the best gourmet e juice there is. I fucking LOVE Grand Prairie. (Used to smoke a pack and a half Marlboro 72s in a 24 hour period.) Now I have a Smok Tech Bolt with a Vivi Nova tank and will never smoke analogs again! Check out MadVapes/HoosierEcig/VapeDudes/CrystalClearVaping.
Don't fall for those blah blah rechargeable "looks like a real cig" tastes like shit gas station junkers. If you are serious about quitting, get some good equipment. Check out the ecig forums and see what people have used. I have converted 8 people at work to ecigs just through my use of one. They were all jealous at first since I can smoke anywhere I want. Then they got curious.... Good luck to you!

Re: e-cigs?
Here in Dallas ecig shops are popping up everywhere, start off buy buying joyetech ego-c you get 2 for $80 a bottle of juice costs about $14. Everyone one has their own preference on juice and every different store the juice is different. The good thing is they have "a juice bar" in store so u can try a lot of flavors to see what u like. My preference at the store I go to is neo-port(Newport) since that's what I smoked and I fill the other one with monster (tastes just like the energy drink

One bottle of juice lasts about a month if you're a pack a day smoker

This is what it looks like (ego-c)
[link to www.joyetech.com]

I buy a different tank to put on mine that hits better and holds more juice

Re: e-cigs?
OP (and anyone else reading this), if you really want to try the world of vaping, do it the right way. Do NOT spend/waste money on Blus, GreenSmokes, any late night tv peddled e-cigs, or any that you can buy in a gas station.

Go to [link to www.e-cigarette-forum.com] and READ READ READ - that site has more information than you can imagine.

There are TONS of PVs on the market (personal vaporizers) but for a newbie you can get a decent set up for $50 - Try the Kgo from Hoosier Ecig, or get an EGO Twist or something like that.

There is a bit of a learning curve so WATCH YOU TUBE VIDS, figure it out. It's fun, actually!

And after buying your first set up, do yourself an even bigger favor and buy a good bit of small bottles of juice. As a newb, you won't know what you like, so give yourself permission to try a bit of everything (Tasty Vapor - while not the best gourmet juice in the world, has a decent selection and a good sample pack you can try). And stay away from tobacco juices until you're used to vaping. Nothing wrong with them, but they just aren't the same as a cig and you gotta break that cycle anyway. When I first started vaping I was in heaven with my Double Chocolate Fudge Cake - or Apple Pie or Blueberry Cheesecake with my morning coffee or Caramel Popcorn with my beer! My husband got hooked on Atomic Cinnacide - just gotta find that right go to juice and trust me, you will NOT want a nasty ashtray cig in your mouth again. (Later we learned to like other types of juice and now I make my own - and it's a Honey Flue type flavor like a honey tobacco).

Also, don't get caught up in nic amounts. If you are a heavy smoker start off with 30mg. Average smoker, start with 24 mg. You can always decrease nic (some decrease to 0 but still love vaping). But when starting out, no need to deprive yourself and make yourself crazy. That's not the point. The point is freeing yourself from Big Tobacco and Big Pharma and switching to a harm reduced habit versus inhaling over 4000 known carcigens each type you light a cigarette.

My husband was a 2 pack a day smoker, I was a 1 pack a day smoker (both over 20 years). When we got our fist e-cigs (Rivas, which are EGo type) we vaped, vaped, vaped and I had ONE cigarette after that - almost threw up because it tasted so bad, crushed it out and never picked up another one. We both now own custom made ecigs and I feel unbelievably healthy and if nothing else, I don't stink!!!!!

Good luck - and do go to that forum. Those folks can really educate you!!!

Too funny! We too have "converted" folks - 31 at last count between the two of us (me and the hubby). And never meant to - not like we were crusading, but when you whip out a nice pretty REO with super cool dreamy glass drip tip you get a lot of curiousity going. Then when you blow a ton of vape in the air and it smells like some awesome goodness you get "Hey....what is that? Where did you get that? I want one!!" - Lol....

And LOVE vaping ANYWHERE I WANT.
