In its report, the board dismissed a variety of possible explanations, including that the object was an untraced aircraft, a manned balloon or a weather balloon. Link here... The report indicates that the near miss occured at approximately 3500 ft, East of Glasgow airport. Thats pretty low, so I wonder if there were any witnesses on the ground.
