Most know that the Hebrew word shalom is understood around the world to mean "peace." However, "peace" is only one small part of the meaning. "Shalom" is used to both greet people and to bid them farewell, and it means much more than "peace, hello or goodbye"....

Hebrew words go beyond their spoken pronunciation. Each Hebrew word conveys feeling, intent and emotion. Shalom is more then just simply peace; it is a complete peace. It is a feeling of contentment, completeness, wholeness, well being and harmony.

According to Strong's Concordance 7965 Shalom means completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord. Shalom comes from the root verb shalom meaning to be complete, perfect and full. In modern Hebrew the obviously related word Shelem means to pay for, and Shulam means to be fully paid.

It's a common misconception that Christians believe they are better than others...a REAL Christian knows he/she is exactly the same (a sinner) as any non-believer.

Real Christians know the only reason they have hope is because a monumental sacrifice was made by the Son of God...a sacrifice, that despite their sin, allows them to one day be with God.

We are all human and born with a sinful nature. Do your best, and when you fall ask forgiveness in His name.

God doesn't expect perfection or anything close to it. It's impossible. He does expect repentance, faith in Him and His Son, and a earnest effort to live your life according to His Word.

Um, the phrase " coming out" is generally used to describe a state of disclosure regarding sexuality, particularly same sex attraction or orientation. Might wanna look into the syntax....

It all comes down to being a good person. That is my big problem. I assume all religions teach people to be good. Don't hurt your fellow man. But we have and still do wars against different religions. I don't get it

I thought that was for Apostle like people alone, even then Jesus set them up as far as who they could control. He gave them the power to order demons to depart out of people yet there was one recorded instance where they could not do that and it was because that 'level' of demon needed somebody who had prayer (the Apostles) and fasting (Jesus alone fasted of that group)

God gives us some rules and then He steps back and lets us follow the rules using our own devices. We failed and we fell down and went boom. Now we have to wait for the time that was already determined that those that fell down would be picked up and 'dusted off' with the added knowledge that when He gives a rule it is better to follow it than not follow it.
