It's the responsibility of the person accepting the interview/casting call invitation to ensure that the position is a good fit for them. If they feel they can play that role, despite being for a character of a different gender, age or race, then they should try out. We casted a woman for a production of A Christmas Carol to play the role of Scrooge. She was the best person for the job.

You don't see the irony here? Over one hundred years ago in my country there used to signs in the shop windows which said, "Irish need not apply." I am not Irish, but should I see such a thing I would be deeply ashamed because it would tell me that we as human beings are moving backwards to the day when such open discrimination was quite acceptable.

And I'm sick and tired of everyone else getting everything handed to them on a silver platter. It's just not fair.

I've worked my ass of my entire life and all I see is other races taking advantage of my tax dollars so they can have more babies and put them in schools that have to be dumbed down to their level so they are not "discriminated" against.

It is my view that everyone should have the same rights and nobody should have special rights because they are black, white, brown, yellow or green or even blue.

I'm sick of the whole desegregation thing too.

Good post. In my opinion and from what I have read we are now living in Lyndon Johnson's Great Society. The Great Society extended the welfare system and allowed it to become a way of life instead of a hand up. Ted Kennedy's Immigration Act with its built in racism against white Europeans was done deliberately to fill this country with votes, not people, not citizens, but votes.

The two democraps together destroyed the American family unit.
