Average age of Sandy Hook parents

Sometime's it's the simple observations that stand out - I just read this:

Most of the dads have gray hair. At my kids school, the parents of the kindergartners and first graders are mostly in their 20's and 30's. The parents of the featured victims look more like grandparents."
I know parents are having kids later and later - but it does seem a bit like the SH parents are on average older than usual, doesn't it? How would this factor into the various scenarios?
At one point some were theorizing that these children had already passed away some time ago, and that pictures of them from years ago were being used as "current" photos.

Newtown is the same deal I presume most wealthier couples tend to put education and career and then children which explains it. Living in a rural area now in VA so many of the parents are in their 20s so it's totally related to the demographics of the area. I think you're probably right - just to be thorough, I'll compare the ages with other nearby schools if possible, but my own friend had (very healthy!) twins at age 49, so ;)
