Gawd, this makes me nervous, but...when I read the thread title I saw a man, around 45-60 yoa, with dark skin, black hair, and a moustache. Then I looked at your op, and saw his ethnicity. The thing is, despite the dark coloring, this man has blue eyes, but they're a kind of milky blue eyes.

OP do you have any friends or relatives in El Salvador that you can network with via social media to maybe aid you in your search? (assuming he was still residing there last time you heard from him). Maybe you can locate someone who knows a police officer or private investigator and they can search whatever public records may be available to help locate him or his last known whereabouts.
