"Numerous police agencies are assisting the FBI in searching for a Chicago man in Madison who's wanted by the FBI.
The search for Paris Poe, 33, started after 11 a.m. in the area of Verona and Nesbitt roads. Police have since cleared that area but are still searching for Poe.

The Verona School District will not be releasing students until 3:45 p.m. Middle and high school students will be allowed to board buses at 4:30 p.m.., according to a release from the district. Parents or guardians with an ID will be allowed to pick up their students at any time. There will be increased police presence at all schools and there will be no late buses on Thursday."

A business owner in the neighbourhood told NBC15 she was told by armed FBI agents to lock her business and stay inside as she was in the 'Kill-Zone'.

Kill-Zone? Since when did we have kill-zones?

I think he is just trying to get away, like a cornered wolf.

One guy on the run with a gun and they tell me to stay inside???


... It is not the one, armed man running around that the folks 'sheltered in place' will be in need of worrying over... but the thousand armed uniforms conducting the search party should be of great concern for the health and safety of all hoarded cheese caches!

I am home safely, but won't feel relief until the situation is resolved. I am likely to stay sequestered inside my house, as that feels like the smart, albeit paranoid, approach for now.

BTW: NOBODY is walking outside and very little car traffic.
Usually I'd have 10+ dog walkers walk in front of my house by this time in the evening.

There was an escaped prisoner hiding in my back yard. I waved down a Sheriffs car and told him about the man. As I was taking the Sheriff to the yard,the man ran so I chased him because the Sheriff was a fat ass that couldn't run. As I came to the next street two cops were there with their guns pointed at me and it looked like the sheriff was chasing me.

In a man hunt the most dangerous aspect is the cops.

Question??? Has this "shelter in place" been going on for awhile, and we just didn't hear about it, or, is this really on the rise since the Boston "shelter in place"? I don't know either way, I am just curious...

I guess it has actually been going on for awhile, just more attention. I remember over 30 years (Nice neighborhood) ago when cops were chasing someone they would say to stay indoors.

I guess it's common sense, but then again it never was days at a time.

As near as I know, there was never an official shelter-in-place
order issued outside of the neighbourhood that got the reverse 911 calls.

The FBI guy did however refer to Madison in general when he said
stay inside and lock your doors. LoL
Madison is pretty big geographically, about 77 square miles.
