What is up with Houston lately?

Moved outside of Houston years ago. Utter cesspool. Fourth largest city in the US...people gonna go crazy from time to time.

I think it's because we have had way too many transplants from liberal states and foreigners looking for work and they brought their craziness with them. I had to move out to the suburbs to escape.

I am in Houston. It does seem like a lot of negative things have gone on in the area recently. I am concerned about what TPTB have planned for the NRA gathering here this weekend. Something just seems off here lately.
