What you should have said is that while Islam disagrees with Christianity on whether Jesus was risen, Islam does revere Jesus as one of the greatest prophets. Most people have no idea the high esteem with which Jesus is held by Islam.

I just find it fascinating that in America Islam is always treated as such an "other" religion, when in fact, it treats Jesus with a level of veneration similar to Christianity.

As for OP's statement, it's absolutely not true that everyone is Muslim, but he's right that God, Allah, and YHWH are pretty much the same dude.
