California voters approved a bill last year that increased our income tax rate up to 13.3% I know this because I had to pay a very hefty amount to the CA franchise tax board on April 15. We are the highest taxed state in our country. It is crazy!!! People will leave California.

I have a simple idea to prevent the exodus. Let the people be taxed according to the party platform they vote for. Maybe we have three core platforms, Communist (aka Democrat), Republican and Libertarian.

If you vote communist, then you pay communist taxes, say 62% of your total income in CA for example, but you are also eligible for welfare coverage (if your faction isn't bankrupt yet)

Whereas the Republican faction pays much lower taxes. We should also allow employers to discriminate based on your faction.

In this way liberals can immediately receive the just rewards for their insanity, namely unemployment, bankruptcy and high crime.

It will also allow for an immediate comparison of policy, since you can look at how your next door neighbor is faring under either communism or conservatism.

Funny that throughout American history everyone seeking freedom and liberty has always fled Democrat Party controlled states.

Hey we're not all liberals I would be offended if anyone called me as such. Had to move down south a year ago. I lived by myself up a mountain an hour from town up north, fully self sufficient. Now I live in a populated area in the deep south. No sir I don't like it. Grew up in Boston and have a strong accent, some people really love it, others won't give you the time of day. It's very strange. I certainly feel like I'm in a different country sometimes, but I will say people are much nicer down here. Pretty much anywhere isolated outside of a city up north you still get your self sufficient gun owning conservatives, especially the further north you go like VT, NH & ME. I know far more liberals down here than I ever did back home. The "entitlement" programs really have a grip on people where I live now.
