First, a little bird took a bath in a puddle, spraying drops of water about
Then he lay on a rock in the sun with his eyes closed, soaking up the heat.

It was a great thing to see, how this bird had no worries, just the moment.

look around most creatures don't have to deal with human crap, so they live their lives without all the bullshit. they don't go to work for same paper to trade for food or homes, they find their own food and build their own homes

I agree I hear the birds singing first thing in the morning, sounding happy for another day.
And a lot of people I know don't seem to appreciate the day they are given!

I always feel sorry for the birds here in AZ who play in the puddles and drink them after a monsoon storm. They are nasty - filled with pesticides and oil and gas residue from the road.

That's probably what he was doing when the neighborhood cat attacked and I found him face down in the yard when I got home yesterday...
I never forgive and I never forget

I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked.

Sucks if you're an ant though that happens to have its "home" in someone's mowing space, sorry ants but I'm not mowing around you and must have been close to 50 big ant hills in these two areas I had to mow
