The problem OP is that your concept basically resembles the current system of socialism and communism. The reason all types of government eventually fail are all related - the greed of people in power. Eventually it might even be the downfall of the system we have now.

Don't get me wrong, in concept what you are saying is completely logical, and maybe, sometime far in the future, we will reach a point of evolution where those types of systems would work. Personally, though, I would wager we are still a couple thousand years out from that, if ever. A greedier, more violent, warlike race has never walked this planet. Between those who would ruin everyone for their own gain and those who have become so apathetic to it, there is zero chance of a system like that working where it wouldn't eventually collapse.

Human nature is such that the majority of people will work harder if they see the direct fruits of their labour. Its also true that people will use less electricity in a co-op apartment building if each apartment is metered (ie you pay for what YOU use) than in those where each apartment "pays their share": human nature.

So. Capitalism, as ugly as it is on its face produces the biggest pie WHILE using the least energy (and thus saving the environment). The win-win-win.

How does one account for the production? Money. When that money results from those who are growing the pie (in an energy-efficient manner, of course), and not those who are moving pieces around the pan, or worse, shaving pieces off of it like the ancient Romans with their denarii, we all benefit.

The problem is not with those that produce the pie, it is with those who meaninglessly move the pieces around, OR WORSE STEAL.

Money is not good or evil, it just is. If I got the same amount of goods and services no matter how hard I worked, I would stay home all day and enjoy life. Instead of putting in those long hour on the farm.

I just finished work for the day at 8:30 at night, because it takes a lot of work, especially in the spring, to get my crops to grow. Then I read the B.S. on this site about no money. You lazy SOB's just want to live a comfortable life without work. GROW UP!!!!

Money is the method to account for labor. My labor is deemed very valuable to our society. Im happy to say I grow the pie. The universe IS abundent and I am fortunate, to tap into that to all our benefit. If you are contributing to society, we benefit from your labor too. Should garbage men, or cleaning ladies, or teachers! be paid more? Perhaps. Should those who steal from the pie be compensated at all? NO! We currently live in a kleptocracy (a society built on theft). Lets fix that and have income going to those who contribute and lets see how far that goes.

My cleaning lady is not going to volunteer to clean my house. Again, this is human nature. I don't manipulate my cleaning lady. She works very hard and takes pride in her work. I pay her a more than fair wage and treat her with great respect. If I was to clean my house rather than spend time in my business growing the pie, there would be less manifested abundence. I certainly am thankful to Nikola Tesla's cleaning lady. She is valuable to me. As was pointed out above, in several hundred years after several more Teslas(or after the aliens come down and give us all the Star Trek technology), as abundence has been made manifest, perhaps there wont be a need for cleaning ladies and garbage men. Until then, you have not suggested a workable solution.

You will always have to work one way or another, no one lives from doing nothing, never happened and never will. People who advocate for moneyless systems necessarily advocate for systems of top down distribution, and in these systems you will always be a slave to whoever decides based on what kind of philosophy things are distributed.
