A secret global military organisation, very selective. Only pick from the best of what the country has to offer. If it's not good enough, move on. Move on? Come on! It is not enough! What about this?: "And they don´t fight wars as people first come to think of. People think that war is to shoot and bomb. These guys work in another way. It is a war of the minds. They use mind-control. One single soldier can manipualte 100s, 1000s or maybe they are so advanced now that they can manipulate tens of thousands. The so called ´revolutions´ are not revolutions. These guys are super-soldiers. Groomed from young age." ? And there are super-soldiers on mars and moon. And of corse you know this. Right? This sounds like insanity to many people. But truth is stranger than fiction. Much, much stranger. But your answer make me believe that these super-soldiers are ´out of your hand´so to speak. You are the Overlord of one compartement. But in cosmos everything is compartmentalised. As here. As above so belove.... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39298605 alot of US special op teams come through Hereford, and spend alot of time on the beacons sharpening their trade. So if the best of the US special forces are sent to train under the SAS, that makes them the best. Not to mention that very few of the elite british forces are sent to train with their yank counterparts. The yanks learn more from us than we do from them. Also the british army has the best officer training academy in sandhurst, hence why lots of other countries clamour to get their officers trained there. To the american chap who said the USMC is the best, to you sir I say bollocks. I have seen the USMC in action and if you compare them to the royal marines, they look like a regular unit. A royal marine does a harder PRC than a US marine, in fact passing a royal marine PRC is good enough to get you through the entire USMC training program, where for a potential royal marine passing PRC is the first step. I served in war zones on and off since i was 19, Bosnia, Iraq, afghanistan, i've seen soldiers from other UN countries, and while most of them are a good bunch. when it comes to professional soldiers, the brits out do pretty much everyone. +1 |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39056587 [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Also: "Essential. Could not have done it without them." He singled out the SAS's A Squadron in 2007. "I know one squadron that in a six-month rotation of 180 days I think they did 175 operations. "That's going out every night into combat. I got to go with them several times. These were not just drive around patrols, these were combat assaults. "Sometimes right in on the objective by air, more often land away and walk in several kilometres so that you could achieve some surprise and sometimes driving." During an operation at Salman Pak on the outskirts of Baghdad in November 2007, Sergeant John Battersby and Trooper Lee Fitzsimmons of A Squadron were killed when their Puma crashed and rolled over, trapping them underneath the fuselage. After battling in vain to save their comrades, the survivors continued on to assault the house that was their objective. "Unless you have been close to a situation like that it is hard to appreciate what that means," General Stanley McChrystal. +1 |
