I did not see this version of the Damascus bomb on GLP... perhaps here and I missed it.

Watch the entire video... anyone know what would cause the, for lack of a better description, nuclear like fireball, that occurred long after the initial blasts?

yea, id say so. the force probably launched so much in all directions, including up, and then hit the intense heat in the "cloud". i,m thinking like landmines, grenades, rockets etc...

This is a hit on a 'bomb factory'/munitions store in Iraq OP. The military refers to them as secondaries.

Re: Another video of the Damascus Explosion... any ideas on what caused the subsequent hi-altidude fireballs?
It was a fuel/air bomb (like a Daisy Cutter). The secondary explosions at high altitude were due to aerosols that first drifted prior to the primary detonation. Then cinders from the primary detonation lofted to the altitude of the other pockets of combustible fuel at concentrations between the Lower Explosive Limit and Upper Explosive Limit to create secondary explosions. Net effect is it looks like a small nuke, complete with small mushroom cloud. But it's simply a devastating conventional weapon - a fuel to air bombs226.

I had considered that... because one of the videos showed the flames on the ground getting larger just seconds before the huge fireball -- implying that there was an added fuel source.
