What state is he from? Alabama? [link to crime.blogs.tuscaloosanews.com] No silly. He's from Texas. He tried to do it the right way, according to law. Sometimes 'ya just gotta do it yourself. I think it's great. The guy whose door got kicked in was from Alabama. I love Texas! Professional Weathertard |

We carry big toys down here because shooting twice is not economical. "Causing fewer fireworks when it passed was a measure reducing penalties for permit holders who accidentally show a concealed handgun." Professional Weathertard |
Dace User ID: 979327 Puerto Rico 05/06/2013 01:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know MANY people who used to NOT be gun owners.....but decided to make their first purchase AKs. Every time there is a major 'gun debate' or story on the MSM about a 'ban proposal'....I can hear the 'poppop pop popoppoppop' of AKs for miles around for days.....rednecks out target shooting. When you walk into ANY local pawn shop......the main focal display(s) are AK's on the walls behind the registers and shelves full of reloads..... STACKS of background check forms beside every register like 'impulse buy' items. =-) Weapon(s) bans are for Nazis. |

I don't step foot inside that liberal hellhole without being armed anymore. You couldn't pay me to go to the south side. Gang bangers everywhere causing all sorts of problems. Hell, half the time the cops won't even go down there if you call 911. |

True to the need to be armed at all times and true about the south side. Even the 50 won't go. The sad thing is that it is getting bad up north now too. I keep moving further and further north from the city to try to get away from it and it keeps following me. The place I live now used to be SO nice. Now, I can't go a few weeks without someone trying to either steal something from my 2ND FLOOR balcony or break into my truck. Last August, one of the apartments a few buildings away got rented by a small black family from southern Louisiana. We ended up becoming friends with the parents and even had the kids over to play with my niece when she was in town. Come September, I looked out my back window and saw what I thought was someone in a hoodie trying to break my old cars door open. Went out and confronted the guy with my good buddy, Ruger. Ended up being the 14 year old kid from that family we had just befriended a few weeks before. The same one that I had invited into my home to play with my family and eat my food. The same boy who I had long conversations with about growing up and being a good man. I had even offered to employ him doing odd jobs around the house or doing chores for me from time to time. In other words, I was REALLY nice to this kid. After several things of a similar nature happening to me over the last several years, I simply don't feel like I can trust anyone around here anymore. It is a city/metroplex full of imports, most of which have no manners or morals. Very sad to see it die off like so much Detroit. |

I hear ya, I've often gone through a SHTF scenario in my head for this area and I'll just say it always involves needing a lot of .223 and buck shot just to defend not to mention trying to get out of the metroplex.
