Two things I noticed from Amandaberry's 911 call is that she talks like a 12 year old, and she has a hispanic accent.

the three girls have been released from the hospital

neighbor said they had called the police before
saying they saw castro with a girl in the backyard
treating her like an animal and she was naked

Snip; Another police source who is actively working on this investigation told NewsChannel5’s Michael Baldwin at least five babies were born inside the home. It’s not clear if that number includes Berry’s 6-year-old daughter who was found in the house with the women.

Snip; Cleveland police admitted Tuesday they were just steps away nine years ago from entering the home where three young women were held captive.

Cleveland Public Safety Director Martin Flask said officers were called to the home on Seymour Avenue in January 2004 while investigating a complaint involving Ariel Castro who owns the home where the girls were discovered Monday evening.

Hmmm - disturbed ground - basement. Maybe there is an underground tunnel from the basement to another location, which would explain why it was so hard to detect trafficking for so long.

Wow the interview with the neighbor that kicked in the door is priceless, uncle Rufus is real.

WHAT a story! Just wow. So glad they were found. Wish the parents of those girls could have gotten that guy before the cops did.

The little girl in the picture looked to be around 6. Wonder if she lived her life in a basement. Not playing outside. Not having friends. The worst part is, that dysfunctional as it is, it's the only life she's ever known. If she liked the man, it's going to create big problems for her.

Chrit, I think your pictures look a lot alike, especially the nose and mouth. Whole general shape of the face.

Going to try to karma pin this so others can offer opinions. The trafficking view, and these pics are new info and worth considering. Don't know if it can be pinned again so soon, but will try.

The guy is 52-he did not just start being a psycho rapist 10 years ago. He may have 100's of victims.

The "girls in the basement" plan may have evolved after he became more mature and quit strangling hookers, for example. After one too many close calls.

I pinned it right before you posted Nine's, waiting for more info to come out so it seemed like I should.

obviously more people are involved then just three brothers.

Here's some news it appears is recent. Has his booking picture. He has some hair in the back in this picture but some guys shave their heads, so it doesn't mean it's not a match for your picture.

There was an inmate about 10 months ago that led police to a lot where he said Amanda Berry was buried. They didn't find anything and he was given 4 more years for giving fault information. Thing is this lot is a right around the corner of where the women were being kept. There are still some girls unaccounted for. I wonder if some bodies really are buried there.

And it gets even more confusing. This article, and another I couldn't find, says he did own it but it was in foreclosure. Wouldn't that make a person a little uncomfortable having captives in a basement with a home in foreclosure. Wouldn't people be coming around to serve papers, or cops bringing them? And I thought the son was named Anthony. Hmm.

According to USA Today, the house was sold to Castro in 1992 for $12,000 by Edwin and Antonia Castro, though the paper was unclear of Ariel Castro was related to the couple.

Today, the house — at 2207 Seymour Ave in Cleveland — is facing foreclosure, reportedly because Ariel Castro owes thousands of dollars in real-estate taxes.

Castro has at least three children, two daughters and a son also named Ariel. The younger Ariel Castro wrote a story about the kidnapping of Gina DeJesus while he was a journalism student. The elder Ariel Castro recently posted on Facebook that he was a grandfather.

One daughter, who is reportedly named Emily, is apparently serving a prison sentence for slashing the throat of her own child according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Kolonick says when it comes to sex trafficking, the key is to eliminate demand. He intends to be more vigilant in going after the johns, most of whom live in the suburbs.

"The industry succeeds because of its secrecy," says Kolonick. "The johns and the pimps do not want the general public to know about this. That's why they hide it on the Internet, in abandoned homes."

Some cities have specialized facilities where trafficked women can live safe from their victimizers and get their lives together. But in Northeast Ohio, we're just beginning to wake up and realize that modern-day slavery exists.

However, had this not been a national headline story in the MSM most of you GLP'ers would have passed this story up, offered it 2 to 3 stars and given it about as much relevance as "I am from planet Zoltar...ask me a question."

It's sad that that poor girl had to have a child by one of those REVOLTING disgusting butt-ugly subhumans... but hopefully the child will take more after her side or some distant human on the 'fathers' side.

One article said the other infants did not survive, which is probably for the best.

These three brothers need to be burned at the stake. IMHO.

They are saying at least 5 pregnancies minimum now between the three women.

She looks like her Mommy. Mommy is going to have as hard a time as the little girl. Don't want to imagine what they went through.

Maybe he only told them the babies didn't survive. Maybe he sold them. Figure the odds. 5 out of 6 died? Wonder how many unknown captives he had that didn't survive a basement birth.

I saw the kidnapper's uncle on tv and he said his brother owns or owned the house. I don't remember which one. Also, the relative that was on FB last night (I think the nephew of the kidnapper) said he grew up in that house. So I guess the nephew's father owned it.

^^ This is really odd. The reporter said this man lived right next door.

We won't know how he hid the victims until the police report what they found in the house.

Here is the latest update given by the CPD...
Earlier today, Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson, Public Safety Director Martin Flask, Chief of Police Michael McGrath, Deputy Chief Ed Tomba, and Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland FBI Office Stephen Anthony held a press conference to give an update on the safe return of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight.

Three suspects are currently in Cleveland Police custody awaiting charges to be filed. They are brothers, Ariel Castro, 52; Onil Castro, 50; and Pedro Castro, 54. By mandate, charges are expected within 36 hours of arrest. A search warrant is currently being executed at 2207 Seymour with other locations pending.
We understand the need for continuous information; we are trying to get information to media as fast as we can. We ask that media refrain from speculation and reporting based on unconfirmed information.

Law enforcement is grateful for all those in the neighborhood who responded to help Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, including Charles Ramsey who called 911 to alert Police. The support of the community is critically important to all that law enforcement does.

We continue to ask the community to send tips and information – to say something if you see something. We cannot do this alone.

OMG!! I didn't hear that. What monsters those men are. They need to be charged with murder of those babies.

there should be hell holes to put these three crminals instead of a prison.

I posted this way before it hit national headlines. The girl Amanda Berry, I went to school with her. Didn't really know her personally but did remember seeing her in the halls. That is why this story was important to me and very good news to me at that. Just seems a lil fishy though.
