Over 40 years ago we were out out the streets at marches fighting the good fight trying to put an end to this never ending insanity of war. We didn't care about money or judging others by what they owned. Not having to worry about health insurance or even where your next meal was coming from allowed us to focus on what some would consider higher ideals. Perhaps that is why TPTB has been trying to impoverish us ever since.

The only way to stop it is to "go galt" for as long as you can. try to have a skill or connections where you can pop back into the workforce periodically. I am not saying to go the welfare or disability route.

The truth is that EVERYONE is going to suffer without a strong tax base. There is no way out.

If you have a 401k an the country goes down your 401k goes down.

If you have a pension you are living on or are putting money into and the people are being laid off then your pension is threatened with collapsing.

If you are on Social Security,Medicare,Medicaid or Obamacare and the tax base is a bunch of over worked over paid under educated people who are juggling part time jobs then you may lose those too or all your years of paying into the system will vanish.

Sure some people would be happy to see Americans become destitute they just aren't seeing the fact that they will also be one of the destitute.
