Why is there such adamant opposition to the concept of Climate Change? I really don't understand why Climate Change is harder to believe than a dude rising from the dead to one day return and bring the rapture?!?

Like, let's really think about this.

We drive cars that spit exhaust, that did not exist in large quantities before the industrial age, which happened EXTREMELY RECENTLY. We have industrial and toxic waste coming from manufacturing and power plants. We've lost x% of our natural habitats in the forms of trees and other plant structures and biodiversity.

And you want to believe that no of this is affecting our environment?

And, for arguments sake, because logic seems to be difficult for "Climate Change Debunkers", lets say none of that has had any effect of the environment, what is wrong with still looking to investing resources into clean technology that will give us (The United States) energy independence so we no longer have to go around bombing the middle east and sign fucked up deals with Oil Cartel countries in order to have our privileged way of life continue to even function. Potentially lessening the need to continue to blindly fuel the military industrial complex, and making our air nice and pollution free.

Like, have you fucking been to LA?!? You literally can see smog floating above buildings when sitting in rush every single day.

Now can I back up everything I just said, sure. Give me an email and I will send you a 5 page essay on why it makes no sense to think that climate change isn't currently happening. But will it matter? I don't know, you tell me if you are willing to change your mind or if you just spit dogmatic bullshit out of your mouth because you are unwilling to admit you are wrong.

Am I wrong about climate change? Maybe, but even if I am, the actions being suggested to help alleviate it would be helpful for all of us EVEN IF it didn't exist.

I have a question:

How close are they to creating a plasma containment for Heavy Water Fusion reactors using Tritium fuel? I know there is a problem with Tritium being an electron thief and I really wonder if such a containment field is even possible.
