lies about oil and plastic
So i will firstly point out. Plastics are almost all recyclable by various processes using catalyst, heating to high temperatures or bioremediation. This including both Thermosetting and thermoforming plastics, So are tires and the like all recyclable. They can be converted into oil and hence converted into pretty much any organic compound. Now atmospheric CO2 and water can be used to produce oil by a chemical process. So if global warming exist and if its caused by the enhanced greenhouse effect, we already have the solutions. You could crack organic molecules into methane gas, also use other processes that can produce hydrogen if we want to develop a hydrogen economy.

All it requires is an energy source and while many individuals in power would have you believe that there is no suitable alternative to oil, they quietly keep technologies like the moray generator suppressed. Although there is an acceptable reason for this, mainly the use of this energy source as a weapon most likely, they should still be trying to adapt our society to be more placid, reducing religion and threats, trying to create a one world nation and progress seems pretty slow. If we had these energy technologies we could solve the world food crisis easily, build multi-story indoors agricultural complex to increase the surface area greatly, no weather damage to crops, a cheap source of energy to power lighting, heating and produce the fertilizer. We could start recycling plastics in new ways, use more synthetic alternatives to toilet paper and perhaps adapt out sewage system to remove this material, then process it converting it into oil. Some plastics can be recycled as we do now without conversion to oil. We could also use these agricultural complex to farm crops for producing bio-fuel if people insist.

Re: lies about oil and plastic
With this system in place we never need to take a single drop of oil out the ground again. what i meant by more synthetic alternatives to toilet paper is similar materials made from oil, so that we can stop cutting down so much of the rain-forest damaging it as a biological resource. I would also have people encouraged to use more plastics as alternatives to wood if our society had this recycling system. Its a shame our society is not developing the infrastructure to at least recycle more plastics by conversion to oil. The plants are self powered by a fraction of the oil produced by the process.
Even without the new energy technologies, we could build the plants to produce oil from atmospheric carbon dioxide and use these to peak shave when electricity demand is low, taking more power from nuclear power stations and using it to drive the large chemical plants to produce oil from co2 from the atmosphere and the plants to crack oil into methane gas. At the same time the methane gas can be used to power clean gas power stations good for peal-lopping. This means that when electricity demand increases rapidly, because gas power stations can be started fast we often use gas power stations to increase power going into the grid. Nuclear reactors cant just be turned off and make rapid changes to the power plant output so you need other means of supplying the power. The alternative is to build hydroelectric schemes but this causes big damage to our landscape. It would be much tidier if we used the power to either hydrolyze water and use hydrogen powered power stations or we produce methane. The two as a form of energy storage are relatively interchangeable anyway and from the diagram on the page about using c02 to make oil you can see that hydrogen form electrolyzed water is a necessary component obviously. So you can imagine many nuclear power stations combined with the industry to produce hydrogen and methane gas and oil.

On another note if the elite of society who own the oil wells would like to start investing in these technologies, there is no reason they cant keep being rich asses for much much longer. Even when we have moray generators and the like to power our society there will still be a need for oil and gas as part of the process of making plastic and the people owning the industry to make it will make large sums of money. e.g. the plants that use atmospheric co2 and water to create the organic molecules. Also as an alternative to conventional hydroelectric schemes, we could actually create large underground reservoirs and flood them with sea water, which we then pump out as a means of storing energy and using it. The flooding process drives turbines, in times of low demand the water is pumped out just like in conventional schemes except back to front.
