Re: Jesus Commands Us to Kill Children
Jesus was referring to Exodus 21:17

17 “Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.

Jesus said:

Matthew 15:4

4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’

If you read it all in context it should be fairly obvious that cursing a parent is a much bigger deal than disobeying. Look at it in it's entirety, it is discussing assault, kidnapping and murder.

12 “Anyone who strikes a person with a fatal blow is to be put to death. 13 However, if it is not done intentionally, but God lets it happen, they are to flee to a place I will designate. 14 But if anyone schemes and kills someone deliberately, that person is to be taken from my altar and put to death.

15 “Anyone who attacks[c] their father or mother is to be put to death.

16 “Anyone who kidnaps someone is to be put to death, whether the victim has been sold or is still in the kidnapper’s possession.

17 “Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.

18 “If people quarrel and one person hits another with a stone or with their fist[d] and the victim does not die but is confined to bed, 19 the one who struck the blow will not be held liable if the other can get up and walk around outside with a staff; however, the guilty party must pay the injured person for any loss of time and see that the victim is completely healed.

20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.

22 “If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely[e] but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. 23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.

26 “An owner who hits a male or female slave in the eye and destroys it must let the slave go free to compensate for the eye. 27 And an owner who knocks out the tooth of a male or female slave must let the slave go free to compensate for the tooth.

And we should not follow the words of Jesus . For Jesus is evil who supports his Father's command to kill rebellious children.

Matthew 15:4
"God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death."

If you think this is a mistranslation, well there are more passages. Here is another one.

Jesus approves of this command again by saying that Moses also commands the murder of rebellious children.

Mark 7:10
"Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death."

Jesus is no different than Charles Manson. He commands his followers to murder children.

It does not matter if the children are rebellious and curse at their parents. That is no reason to murder them.

These verses of death are not for you and me. These are for Holy people such as Pharisees, Pastors, Priests, and any godly person at GLP who do not honour their father and mother.

Re: Jesus Commands Us to Kill Children
“Give thanks not to me, but to your Earthly Mother, who sent you her healing angels. Go, and sin no more, that you may never again see disease. And let the healing angels become your guardians.”

But they answered him: “Whither should we go, Master, for with you are the words of eternal life? Tell us, what are the sins which we must shun, that we may nevermore see disease?”

Jesus answered: “Be it so according to your faith,” and he sat down among them, saying:

“It was said to them of old time, ‘Honour thy Heavenly Father and thy Earthly Mother, and do their commandments, that thy days may be long upon the earth.’ And next afterward was given this commandment, ‘Thou shalt not kill,’ for life is given to all by God, and that which God has given, let not man take away. For I tell you truly, from one Mother proceeds all that lives upon the earth. Therefore, he who kills, kills his brother. And from him will the Earthly Mother turn away, and will pluck from him her quickening breasts. And he will be shunned by her angels, and Satan will have his dwelling in his body. And the flesh of slain beasts in his body will become his own tomb. For I tell you truly, he who kills, kills himself, and whoso eats the flesh of slain beasts, eats of the body of death. For in his blood every drop of their blood turns to poison; in his breath their breath to stink; in his flesh their flesh to boils; in his bones their bones to chalk; in his bowels their bowels to decay; in his eyes their eyes to scales; in his ears their ears to waxy issue. And their death will become his death. For only in the service of your Heavenly Father are your debts of seven years forgiven in seven clays. But Satan forgives you nothing and you must pay him for all. ‘Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot; burning for burning, wound for wound; life for life, death for death.’ For the wages of sin is death. Kill not; neither eat the flesh of your innocent prey, lest you become the slaves of Satan. For that is the path of sufferings, and it leads unto death. But do the will of God, that his angels may serve you on the way of life. Obey, therefore, the words of God: ‘Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is breath of life, I give every green herb for meat. Also the milk of every thing that moveth and liveth upon earth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given unto them, so I give their milk unto you. But flesh, and the blood which quickens it, shall ye not eat. And, surely, your spurting blood will I require, your blood wherein is your soul; I will require all slain beasts, and the souls of all slain men. For I the Lord thy God am a God strong and jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength: this is the first and greatest commandment.’ And the second is like unto it: ‘Love thy neighbour as thyself’ There is none other commandment greater than these.”

Slavery was a way of life for all civilizations then and I assume the Jewish people were very sensitive to that having just come out of slavery. It was how the world worked. Unlike other religions and races though the Hebrews had very specific rules on the treatment of slaves, one being that a slave had to be freed after 7 years. Another being you can't beat or work a slave to death. Man does have free will, if that weren't the case there would be no need for laws biblical or otherwise.

The death of the firstborn was a judgement executed against Egypt. Lets take things in context and look at the big picture of what was really going on. Read the whole story!

First it is important to note that Joseph helped set up the kingdom of Egypt and saved all of the people from a terrible famine while he was doing it. Read Genesis 47.

Genesis 47:20

20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's.

Over time this was forgotten. See Exodus 1:8 and Acts 7:18

Here is Exodus 1:7 - 1:14

7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:

10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.

13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:

14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

Now lets look at just this verse.

Exodus 1:16
And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

Sounds like selective abortion and genocide to me.

and

Acts 7:18-19

18 Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.

19 The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.

Entreated = Made deals with, contracts.

also read Deuteronmy 26:6

It looks to me like Egyptians were blessed and became a great nation because of the Hebrews living among them. Look at how they were treated.

also see Genesis 12 Verse 1-3 for a promise made to Abraham.

Take a look around you at what is going on now. Nothing new under the sun. I don't understand everything yet or pretent to but it looks like the USA is doing the same things the Egyptians did. The people doing this are helping destroy their own blessings. I almost didn't post this message...but to the people here that are searching for the truth, have a look at this video. He may not be right on everything but it is a lot closer to the truth than anything else out there.

This is not what he meant..

When you do not honor your mother or father you are sinning.. sinning = eternal death.. you either can have Eternal Life with the father by Repenting and accepting Jesus Christ as your savior and following the commandments of God or you can sin and receive death eternal life away from the father = death...
 Quoting: MessengerInTheLastDays

Do you realise what you are saying?

By your logic Jesus wants children to be punished for an eternity for cursing their parents.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1416114

Children grow up but they are still children to their parents. So if a child when he has knowledge of what is right and what is wrong dis honors their parents they are sinning.. This is what he is saying.. A child does not know about good and evil until a certain age..Now of days the age they find out about these things has become younger though..
 Quoting: MessengerInTheLastDays

You do realise that your reasoning about grown up children is not at all supported by scripture.

The Bible says child, not grown up child or child that knows right from wrong.

It is you that add that to make some sense of it all.

And ofc getting punished for an eternity for cursing your parents as an adult is completely insane.

It is not for you to decide what God does and not mine either. No Christian would kill anybody cause it's FIRST commandment: thou shalt not kill. If you read Bible carefully there is written many times about death as spiritual death. God offers us eternal life with him if we FOLLOW his commandments. Murdering somebody is against his commandment. The end, there is nothing to talk about. You are the main deceiver here, who hasn't even red the Bible while claiming something you don't know.

No it doesn't.

If that were the case, it would have been written "Put him to death", as that was the term used back in the days of the Old Testament.

Just another person who hasn't studied the Bible and takes it out of context.

So, point is, you're incorrect and Jesus Christ does not command anyone to kill children.

I have asked a lot of questions.

I am simply showing more of the story and putting into evidence that the Egyptians as a race were doing exactly the same thing that you are complaining about (and more) to the very people who were responsible for their prosperity. I will straight up tell you I don't understand everything, but I suspect there is quite a bit more to it than that. I accept the story at face value. The Bible simply tells what happened. I can see the same types of things happening around me right now.

I like to think I have a reasoned faith. My human reasoning also tells me that I am in deep trouble. I trust in the fact that the Creator of the heavens and the earth is much wiser than me. It is easy enough for me to look at creation and see that. Just examine something like DNA or the Human Eye or any of the wonders of Creation.

There are a lot of presumptions with your question. You are asking this question with very limited human reasoning. Consider Adam's sin, It seems like this is the very knowledge (good and evil) is being used to ask this question. Also consider what the serpent told Adam. You might also consider what happened to the midwifes that disobeyed Pharoah's orders.

The best book to read to rebut presumptions is Job.

Another book to read is Jonah. We are never told what happened to him - I like to think that someone from Ninevah said "Hey! what happened to that preacher that came through here and warned us?" and then they went out to his booth, brought him into the town, and he found peace. What do you think?

Murdering somebody is against his commandment. The end, there is nothing to talk about. You are the main deceiver here, who hasn't even red the Bible while claiming something you don't know.

Then why does God tell us to kill women for not being virgins on the wedding night?

If God wanted us to follow that commandment why does he command us to break it?

Re: Jesus Commands Us to Kill Children

What is stupid about that post?

Worshiping a Diety that wants us to kill people over virginity and working on a specific weekday is not stupid?

Re: Jesus Commands Us to Kill Children
Every single one of you that is telling us that Jesus was talking about adult children being put to spiritual death need to understand that you are deceiving yourselves and poorly trying to deceive us.

I call on all you lying Christians to repent. No child should be put to death for cursing their parents.
