Re: Discuss: THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is known as the Shekinah...the divine feminine presence of God.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35267558

Thank you!
 Quoting: Particular Individual

there is no proof anywhere that suggest
it is feminine in nature

Shekinah [Heb.,=dwelling, presence], in Judaism, term used in the Targum (Aramaic translation of the Hebrew Bible) and elsewhere to indicate the manifestation of the presence of God among people. Whenever the Hebrew text speaks of the presence of God in a way that implies certain human limitations, the Targum paraphrases by substituting the word Shekinah for the word God (e.g., "And I will cause my Shekinah to dwell," in the Targum Onkelos). Although the Shekinah is rarely intended by the rabbis in the Talmud and Midrash as an intermediary between God and people, the word is sometimes used in such a manner that it cannot be identical with God, e.g., "God allows his Shekinah to rest." The medieval Jewish philosophers, however, wishing to avoid the problems of anthropomorphic interpretation of this concept, posited a separate existence for the Shekinah, which played a minor role at best in their systems. In the kabbalah and other mystical works of the later medieval and modern periods, the Shekinah is given far more importance and is often treated as the consort of God who can only be reunited with God through human fulfillment of all the divine commandments, which would likewise signal the messianic age.

God the Father...Jesus the Son...Mother the Holy Spirit

Re: Discuss: THE HOLY SPIRIT
I am personally trying to figure all this stuff out. My wife is big into God and Jesus and lately it seems as though every conversation turns into God and Jesus. I've been reading a lot of these religitard threads because I AM CURIOUS. I have had experiences with the 'other side'.....so, I DO know that there is other stuff out there. Does that correlate to God? Is there a ying to the yang? If I KNOW for a fact there are evil spirits and demons...does that de facto make me 'believer'? I am a really good channeler....but don't know if that means God is real......

Any words of wisdom from my GLP community??

thanks

Religions are the organizations or structures created by man to discuss or worship the different interpretation man has of God. None are wrong as they all reveal apects of the truth.

Though God is present in the different religions, God is much greater than the structures of religion that try to hold God in place.

The concept of ying and yang is as old as the universe and can be found in all spiritual texts. In the bible for example, the book of Genesis talks about the concept as good and evil.

Simply based on this understanding, if you know there are evil then there to must also be good as well.

As a channel you communicate with an unseen world. The question is whom are you communicating with at any given session? That is where we must exercise our discernment to know the difference between the voices and the Voice. The voices being those of either discarnate entities, or spirit guides. The Voice being that of God, the creator.

You already know that God is real. You are just looking to gain a deeper understanding of why you know that. As you continue to seek, so shall you find.

The Shekinah is held by some to represent the feminine attributes of the presence of God (Shekinah being a feminine word in Hebrew), based especially on readings of the Talmud.

Re: Discuss: THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Ghost is a HE. Jesus said so:

(John 14:26) "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

The real Spirit is masculine and the fake spirit is feminine. Her ways are moveable, God changes not. She leads you away from the Word of God, God says stick to the Word of God.

If you've got a spirit in you that leads you away from the written word of God, you do not have the Holy Spirit of God.

How do you receive the Holy Spirit of God? By the hearing of faith. *Read the 2 verses below*

(Galatians 3:2) "This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?"

(Galatians 3:5) "He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?"

Re: Discuss: THE HOLY SPIRIT
It amazes me how many believe that the Holy Spirit is a Being while the scripture quite clearly shows a different picture!

That said, I still feel that each should be allowed to believe what they can understand and wish. What others believe or why they believe it, is none of my business! hf
 Quoting: Ozicell

Well, I do believe he is a being, I've come to know him as such, as part of the trinity that is God.

But, of course, we all have free will as regards to our beliefs.
 Quoting: K.Kool

I used to believe that as well but then several issues were awakened in my -( I believe by the Holy Spirit), and I began to see things differently. During the transition from what I had believed to what I now believe I was in great confusion which lasted for probably more than a year. Then - through the scriptures - the Spirit showed me the clarity of it all.

Do I believe in the Trinity - YES, but not in the form I used to. Do I believe in God - again YES but I see God differently now! I also understand Jesus the Christ in a different manner as I do the Father!

It's probably not something I can easily explain to others but for me it's quite clear.

One thing a do absolutely believe and that is that each one's beliefs are their personal matter! I am happy sharing but reject bashing - so to speak!

Blessings to you in your walk of faith! Crimson rosnogging

If you'd care to, I'd love to hear how you understand them now...?

There is God, yes?

There is Jesus, yes?

He, who is the son of God,

God made flesh on Earth.

When the risen Jesus left the planet, he said he will leave

behind the Holy Spirit, yes?

God has revealed Himself to be three distinct beings,

in one entity we call God.

Re: Discuss: THE HOLY SPIRIT
I believe that The Sin against the Holy Spirit can be forgiven depending on how convicted one is about the Holy Spirit For those who Don't believe then later do it would be forgiven

The very act of "speaking against" the Holy Spirit

could be when someone says Something from God was actually from the Devil, like when the Pharisees accused Christ of Healing the Sick via the devil

There are many weird doctrines about the Holy Spirit today in the various so called Christian churches

Some saying That He is a She?!?
Some saying that He is eternally recreated again and again by Christ The Son and God The Father in the trinity
(lessor known pagan teaching from Catholicism)
Some saying that He possesses you absolutely forcing you to speak in strange ways, or have out of control fits
Some saying He isn't equal partner in the God Head

Personally I believe all of the Above opinions about The Holy spirit to be wrong, To me "He" is an equal eternal divine with God the Father and The Son, both co-partner/co-creator Who Christ promised that When He arrived He/The Holy Spirit would lead you into ALL Truth!

The God Head is the Source for All intelligence, therefore One who was united with The Holy Spirit wouldn't be confused about if it was from God or Not, They wouldn't be having fits/swearing or talking in unknown tongues as that wouldn't Help people to redemption, but lead people into confusion

and God (Father/Son/Holy Spirit)isn't the Author of Confusion (That's a Different Spirit Altogether)

Re: Discuss: THE HOLY SPIRIT
"I will permit myself only to cite one page from the Gospels that seems to me to support another interpretation of the Trinity. Matthew and Luke state plainly and unequivocally that the Virgin Mary conceived the Baby Jesus through the Holy Spirit. One could thus conclude that it was the Holy Spirit, and not God the Father, that was the Father of the human Christ. But how can that be? Could the timeless birth of God the Son from God the Father find expression in the historical, human world except as the birth of the human Jesus through the power of that latter hypostasis? But no, the story in the Gospels is unequivocal on that point. What is equivocal is the Christian Church's understanding of the third hypostasis. In the course of its entire history, the Church has never elaborated the dogma of the third hypostasis. One is even struck by the contrast between the detailed-perhaps too detailed-teaching about God the Son and what is almost an empty space where should be the doctrines about the Holy Spirit.
But there is nothing essentially strange about that. It is no coincidence that the Christian religion is called Christian. Besides specifying the religion's origin in Christ, the name also reflects the fact that the religion is primarily the revelation of God the Son-that is, it is not so much a religion of the Trinity as it is one of the Son. That explains the extremely hazy generalizations, the equivocality, incompleteness, and even contradictions in the dogmas concerned with the other hypostases.
Who, after all, could God the Father be if not the Spirit and the Spirit only? And, in contrast to all the other spirits He has created, He is Holy. For every God-created and even God-born monad can make - and many have made - a wrong choice and turn away from God. But the Father, as should be obvious to all, cannot turn from Himself. He is primordial, unchanging, unclouded, and unsoiled, and He is called Holy in that very sense. What good can come of depriving God the Father of two of His eternally inherent attributes-His spirituality and His holiness? What is the justification for investing these attributes with an entirely autonomous meaning in the aspect of the Third Person of the Trinity? And in fact, on which of Christ's words, on what testimonies of the four Gospels can the teaching be based that God the Father is one hypostasis of the Trinity and the Holy Spirit is another? There are no such statements to that effect in the Gospels. The words of Jesus cited in support of that claim come from His well-known prophecy: "I will send to you a Counselor, even a Spirit of Truth." Differing interpretations of these very words even led to the Great Schism, which split the one Christian Church into Eastern and Western halves. But both interpretations still proceeded from a common postulate: the strangely undisputed supposition that by the "Counselor" Christ meant the third hypostasis. But there is not even the shadow of an intimation in these words that the Counselor to be sent by the Risen Savior is the third hypostasis or even a hypostasis at all. Nor is there any indication that the expressions "Counselor" and "God the Holy Spirit" refer to one and the same entity. Surely it is more natural, consistent, and sensible from every possible point of view to draw an altogether different conclusion, namely, that God the Holy Spirit is God the Father, for God the Father can be nothing other than Holy and the Spirit.
Once again, in reexamining here the cornerstone of a great teaching, I am setting my lone voice against a stupendous, vast choir, which has been thundering for so many centuries that there can be no doubt as to the reactions it will evoke, if it is even heard. I am even aware that in the eyes of some I am guilty of a great spiritual offense, having committed what is according to the Gospels the one unforgivable sin: blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I solemnly proclaim: I prostrate myself before the Holy Spirit, I worship Him and pray to Him with as much veneration as other Christians. And I fail not only to see blasphemy of His name but even the slightest debasement of His image in the idea that He is God the Father and that God the Father is God the Holy Spirit, that these are two names for one and the same Person-the first Person of the Holy Trinity."
