yep the paleo diet is what we were meant to eat. We got scared from all the stories but protein, right mix of fats are good for us and don't cause heart disease, inflammation causes heart disease. look up marks daily apple, tons of info on healthy diet/exercise. You can get daily emails and FB updates if you want as well. Very interesting well laid out writing.

I had a Aunt that lived into her 80"s and she would cook 1 lb of bacon Every day of her life! She smoked also. I always felt the bacon may have done something popsitive as to this day I have NEVER known anyone to cook a full Lb of bacon 7 days a week and live so long... Also, her husband drank 1 coors light every day ( Only one never more) and he lived to 84. He had never been to the hospital till the last year of his life! Also he was know as uncle " Big" Jim so it aint like he was in shape!

I hope you cook any bacon you eat! I have heard that so long it makes me sick. You have to know how to raise hogs, and those worms you are worried about, can't survive cooking until well done! I won't eat anything with a tumor on it!
Never seen a hog with one on it. Our family raised them most of my early life and never seen a tumor on one.

Cows do get tumors, they are bought at auction by hamburger joints.

You raise thing yourself and you know how healthy they are.

Eat meat, but plenty of fruit and vegetables, yard eggs and no vegetable oils or margarine! Work out or work hard, plenty of rest.

You live and eat like they did in the eighteen and early nineteen hundreds, good chance you will live longer. Mine great, great, great grandpa lived from 1817 to 1927 that was a long life. Some of the other great grand paws live to 105 or a little over. The ones that died early was from a gun wound, from the Civil War. The flu got some other but they weren't young.

Long life, short life, it wouldn't matter. You could tell me bacon was going to shave 30 years off of my life and I'd still eat it...

After all, life is not really life without bacon...

Bacon is great, but has absolutely no place in a paleo diet, just google it.
