They have kept freedom of speech open for everyone because of their fight to keep door knocking and talking about the Bible. Thank them for that or else we wouldn't even have places like this forum to come to. If they were denied the right to go from door to door kiss the first amendment goodbye. They have done so much to keep us all from being denied freedom of speech and so much more. [ link to www.google.com] [ link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1550123 Wait... What? Thank who, the JW? You are kidding right? Even so, they have no right to come to my house and talk about something, if I the owner of the house, didn't invited them. They can stop you on the street and talk about their religion (as they did with me the first time), OK, I can deal with it. But to come to my house and interrupt me? No they have no right. And also they have no right to try to proselytize minors (also something they tried to do with me). Quoting: BlavkRabbit If you don't want them(or anyone else) knocking on your door you can put up a no trespassing sign. Other than that, people have the right to come on your property to talk to you or even sell you things(Avon Lady, people selling meat or whatever, etc). Don't want people there? Put up a sign. Then there is no reason to be rude to anyone. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1550123 I was never rude to them and I already have a sign, didn't work. And how about proselytizing minors? Quoting: BlavkRabbit If the parents say it is ok for someone to study the Bible with their child then I have no problem with it.
