How I handled a Jehovah's Witness the other day

jehovas are a cult.They are nice though, but persistent as long as you let them be. I have never had one come back after I open the door and tell them "don't bother" as they get out of the car.


I had one that used to bring new "service" trainees to my house because I was nice and would take there pamphlet. Worked out well because I needed starter for the fire pit about the time they would show up. Bought a flame thrower for weeds and realized I didn't need the pamphlets anymore.

They never once explained anything or even tried. My final straw with jehovas was when I tried to invite one of my best friends and his kids over to my house for my daughters birthday.He said that they didn't do birthdays. I first said that the girls just wanted to play with them and we aren't big Birthday people either. I also said that his kids need to get used to people having birthdays, people have them. I finally said forget it and haven't heard from him in six months.

I took a different route, when they knocked I invited them in and a few years later asked them a` few pointed questions like, Why do you not celebrate Christmas based on your belief that Jesus was born in Sept and that would mean you believe His life began about 9 months earlier putting it about mid-December. That was some years back, I'm still waiting for an answer on that question.

Do you have a different sermon for each branch or does one fit all.

Ask them this, If only 144000 get into heaven, wouldn't it make better odds if you just stayed home. What if I end up being better than you?

I don't recall them ever claiming that. They would be wrong if they did. The 144,000 are the first to be gathered, the rest of Re:7 is about saved Gentiles.

What about the pizza delivery guy, different knocker?? lol Make them lightweight and they can flutter in the breeze.

The Jehovah's Witnesses:

1. What do they say about Jesus? - They say that Jesus is not God with us. He is not God in the flesh. He is the ultimate teacher of salvation principles. He is the highest of the arch angel creations of God.

2. What do they say about the Bible? - They hold the Bible only, BUT only their version, The New World Translation, which has been proven over and over to be a complete travesty to the linguistic interpretation of the original Greek and Hebrew.

3. What do they say about salvation? - You can only be saved if you're a Jehovah's Witness.

My Mom told them she was jewish, she's not, they never came back, go figure...

If you don't want them to come around, tell them to mark you down as a "do not call". That's the term you want to use.

I am an ex JW, very glad I got out of there! I had some come to my door, told them I was disassociated, they wont be back :)

I do some work for a guy who is an atiest amd he has had a lot of Jehovahs Witnesses working for him over the years.

They are pretty nice people. The ones I have known. I cant imagine them knocking on doors but they do. I think it's 40 hours a month they have to log knocking. The ones in that place in the church, they move up I believe.

This dies a number on your mental health and morale especially if you decide to leave them. When you join you cut off all your friends, when you leave, any "friends" you make in the JW world cut you off so you are left completely and utterly alone. I had to rebuild by social life from scratch when I left. There is also a high degree of depression and other mental illness within the membership. It is NOT a healthy organization at all. Join at your own risk.

They came and visited me yesterday and spoke about world peace.
They left a leaflet titled "Life in a Peaceful New World"
The young lady said she was going to come back in a few weeks to discuss the material.

Anyway I know all about world peace and what is needed.

You start off with a new calender.
It is based on all the religious holidays....


Saturday 43rd Junember

The last time they came to my house i told them i was a witch. They about broke their legs running for their car. When the baptist show up i tell them people like you burned people like me. They look at me like they are not sure if im joking or not and still invite me to church. I do not care what people believe but do not want them at my house begging me to be like them. I am a witch but dont beat on others doors telling them to believe in magic.
