Chinese Businessman Attacked By Gang with Machete - Death By Cold Steel Report This report comes to you via China. Property developer Lu Qin, 43, was driving through Pingdingshan in Henan province when two cars stopped in front of him, forcing his car to slow down.
Seven men carrying machetes and knives then jumped out of the cars, ran towards him, and laid into him, slashing his body with the blades.

Mr Qin believes the attack was designed to intimidate him into dropping a lucrative construction project
'I know that I put a lot of people's noses out of joint - I would suspect it was one of those as they made it quite clear when they ran off that I should give up my contract.
'I didn't stop the project though, and went straight to the police instead, and now I have hired some bodyguards.
'I don't intend to get caught out like this again and I'm not going to be intimidated.'
Triad gangs are Chinese-operated crime groups known for extortion and links to drugs smuggling, prostitution, people trafficking, and video piracy.
